having a pet is kind of like having worshippers again. this small creature, this tiny cat, he doesn't necessarily need me to survive, but he loves me, adores me, and asks me for the things he wants. he would survive if i was not here, but his life would be so much harder. and at the end of the day, he knows that he safer with me than without me.
