First I am not really a Trump lover, but I wanted to see just how he really was from my own point of view not that of the press'. I went to the Trump rally in Fredericksburg on August 20th. What I heard and saw was a sincere intelligent man wanting to be the voice for those in America who are not being heard. He is so different than a regular politician. I liked what I saw and heard. He has been so vilified in the press, that before you judge, you should go and listen on your own first. The rally was wonderful, no fighting, no protests, just honest Americans from every walk of life. Not at all what the press spins.

Approaching Seattle, the volcano rises above the clouds. Scary to think what would happen if it erupted.

I've just returned from a mini vacation, traveling from Virginia to Tennessee to Texas and home via New Orleans to Gatlinburg and then Fredericksburg. We drove over 2,500 miles and spent over 30 hours driving in a whirlwind trip in eleven days. At the end of it all, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz says it best: "There's no place like home!"

I am looking out my window in western Fredericksburg, VA and see a steady stream of snow that is already coating the grass and trees. Bracing for 2 to 3 feet of snow this weekend and staying snuggled inside.
