We were taught how to write business letters in grade four and unlike all the other lessons that got repeated in the higher levels, those business letters were not taught again.

I wonder what the heck our education department was thinking back then. Why teach 10 year old kids how to write a business letter?

But for themes and such purposes Lulu's background is a mystery.

#I gave her parents because while themes and such is important for Rika and Bethany and other artificial humans and Lulu serves as proof that #fake and artificial humans are indistinguishable from each other and thus the difference in how they are treated is pointless #I want lulu's memories of her parents being kind warm and loving to be real #mayumi is something like a princess tho (it has something to do with lulu's very first background as a joke oc. i was making fun of our #drama's where the protagonist is always a missing heir of a powerful wealthy family. it's hard to let go of the original jokes about her XD #Ardell is also from a powerful family. so them being introduced is gonna be trouble #i mean... i can get away with it by saying that Mayumi's uh... people? are not all that known #like. the sun god's people were well known but there are other independent groups/groups who are not part of a country #mayumi is part of one of those groups. while she is kind of a princess her group isn't significant enough for her missing kid to make it to #the newspapers. As for Ardell. i guess he's powerful in the same sense of... the richest family in their province. again: not powerful #enough to make the news #i never really thought of how she ended up with the elheim. since kidnapping kids from those groups/tribes is common in their world #it's easy to say that she got kidnapped. sold. bought. got into an accident and was saved by Dr. Elheim #her powers tho? that one is a big questionmark was she experimented on and gain those powers? did she always have them #if she always had them why is it that it's the Elheim family who taught her how it works? etc etc #anyway it doesn't matter. Lulu's background is best left a mystery so this really doesn't matter #i only did this because 1. it's hard to let go of her roots (the jokes)#and 2. it matters to her that her parents whom she loves are not fantasy #in a hypothetical world where she does meet them I want her to feel that relief. that she was–is loved by her parents #i don't know if she'll be overjoyed. i honestly think she wouldn't know how to feel about it. she convinced herself that they're dead.#she was told that they're not real and now here they are beyond happy to see you again #hmm..sometimes lulu's love is misplaced (Dr. elheim) but I want her to love something that is real. that's why I want her parents to be real #even if she couldn't confirm it in the canon because of themes and such

Sera: hates his mom for being a home wrecking gold digger, hates his dad for being a womanizer, hates his aunties and uncles for encouraging the family drama, hates his cousins for bullying him. The only person he respects in his family is his brother who uses his authority as the next family head to protect him.

Ene: hates his dad and twin sister for leaving, hates his mom for driving them away, claims that he doesn't hold grudges, claims that he doesn't hate his mom. It's complicated.

Lulu: loves her biological parents she barely remembers and wants them dead (because she can't love them if she was abandoned and she wants to keep loving them.) loves her adoptive family (the Elheim) and is also happy that they are dead (because she is happy with Alden) She also loves Alden and his family, she doesn't view them as family despite being mostly raised by them.

I remember we had this gender subject? Or I guess gender lesson in university and the book we were asked to read and reflect on was... Bad. It's usually about sex or how hard it is to find someone to have sex with. Maybe I'm just not into sex so I can't understand why that is such a problem but... I dunno? I felt like there are more interesting things to ponder about homosexuality than the difficulty of finding a fling.

#it was a very boring read.#the one interesting mini story is that one pov character who was having an affair with a married man. there's some religion thrown in there #and since this is a very religious country i thought it would be an interesting chapter about the pov's relationship with religion #but nope. the married man just broke up with him and that's it. we don't go back to the religion part #worst is that the last chapter is the pov character being... i guess in a bar or something? and he's basically saying that he targets #questioning people to have a fling with because they're easy and like.. of course they're consenting adults but how it was presented is jus #yeah like. i dunno who wrote the book. i don't even remember the book. i know it's color yellow #but like... i don't think it's a good book to use to teach about gay people #but it is quite centered around the difficulty of finding someone to have sex with and I am not interested in sex #I don't understand the importance of sex so maybe i'm the problem.#we were supposed to write a reflection paper about it and omg. i wrote one paragraph per chapter. a sentence sometimes and it's a struggle #the whole way all I wanted to say is #“There are interesting ideas the text flirts with about the struggles of same sex relationship unfortunately the texts never commits-#-to those ideas.“#there was nothing to say!! there's only so many ways I can say 'it must be rough finding someone to have a relationship with as a gay man“#every chapter is a different story. a different guy and it's the same problem at its core

So, my native language is quite gender neutral and I noticed that Twitter always translates the gender neutral pronoun into "she" I dunno, I think that's a bit interesting. Why she?

#It could be he. It probably won't be they unless the pronoun is plural #often i can't understand the English translation tho. or I understand it but when I look at the original text it's wildly different #it often swings to the opposite direction. praise becomes an insult and insult becomes praise. i wonder why #it feels like the translation is trying to add character and failing miserably

Honestly, I have a weird anxiety thing on Facebook. Like, I'm weirdly scared of it lol. I dislike being perceived, it's the one social media site that required me to use my real name because people here use it for school and other stuff. Every time I'm there I feel like everyone whom I know can see me. I hate it so much.
