The tldr for the fairy tale is that a nobleman marries a commoner (the titular Griselda) and is worried her low status means she won't be a properly obedient wife, so he decides to test her.

He orders her to send her children to their deaths, and she does (the one point in the nobleman's favor is that he actually has them spirited away to live with a relative). Then he divorces her and casts her naked onto the streets, and she accepts it gracefully instead of trying to fight it.

Finally, the cherry on the red flag sundae is when he, YEARS later, introduces his new bride to her, a twelve-year-old girl, to test her reaction.

When she wishes them happiness, he reveals the ruse, and they live "happily" ever after.

So yeah, that MIGHT be why the woman who's husband wanted a submissive and obedient housewife (to the point of MURDERING HER when she became more independent) has that name. (And before you ask, no, the nobleman's name wasn't Grimlock.)
