Think I might design and create my own cover.
Still don’t have a title I’m happy with. The working one seems too unserious, but no other title captures what I want.
It seems especially hard seeing as it’s a planned series. I’m not just planning one title, but one title: one subtitle. The very unserious nature of the working title is not giving series.
Passed a small milestone at 1am. My alarm was schedule for 7am.
Every milestone surpassed is a cause for celebration, no matter how small. Every step forward is a step further towards my dream of being published. Towards not working a crappy job, of not living in a crappy situation, of having every form of freedom there is to obtain. I dream of being about to dedicate my time and energy to my inner world and not suffering financially for it.
My only relief are these small milestones. Another chapter fully drafted, another variable defined, another email sent.
I’ve never gotten a response to any of my emails. I plan things and then something comes up and my plans are forced to accommodate. My schedule fills with tasks for others and any of my free time is spent recovering.
My therapist disagrees with me when I say that the world is against me. He asks me if I’m afraid of publishing, afraid of being vulnerable. I can only laugh in “three jobs”.
I’ve hit a small milestone at 1am. Perhaps tonight I’ll hit another, but there’s a good chance I’ll just go to sleep and prepare myself for tomorrow.
Not me pretending I didn’t disappear off the face of the earth. 😀
Anyway! I’ve been trying to work up the energy to write again with little success. Missing a lot of self-established deadlines and falling short of a lot of personal goals. Pushing myself to do something has just added shame to my very full plate.
My newest goal is to take it easy. Updates in progress.

The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.
Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.
So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.
Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

So, are you living in that man's shoes, or...? What gives you the right to fakeclaim? Are we going to ignore that sexism against men does exist? Sexism doesn't just mean misogyny.
Sexism against men is real. And so is the intersectionality between manhood and marginalized traits, like queerness, being non-white, disability, low class, fatness, etc.
"You sound like an MRA!" Y'all do realize that the problem with MRAs wasn't that they acknowledged sexism against men, but that they were misogynystic, right?

Like I'm sorry but let's use gay men as an example here. if you say shit like "homophobia exists, lesbophobia is a subset of that, but there's no subset for men it's just homophobia" you sound like an idiot. Do gay men not have their own specific homophobic stereotypes? Are we going to pretend like that's not a thing?
It's always "don't treat men as the default" while y'all simultaneously treat men like the default. If there's no term allowed to exist to describe the intersectional oppression of men, that means you think men are the default. If you say "for men it's just homophobia, for women it's homophobia AND lesbophobia" I don't even know what to do but laugh at you. Homoandrophobia/gayphobia is an important term because otherwise you're treating men as the default, and women and enben as the other, and behaving as if gay men don't experience a unique form of homophobia.
Same can be said for terms like transandrophobia, interandrophobia, androracism, andronoirism, androableism, androsizeism, etc, etc.
If a gyne- and exor- term is important, than so is an andro- one.
For real. Some people really believe that sexism is just misogyny and nothing else.

You should only write in present tense with extreme caution.
not because it's bad or anything but because if you do it even once you're going to be editing the bits where you shifted tenses out of your writing for the rest of your life
if u write in present tense enough times in a row, you can switch this problem around & get confused when your present-tense narrator is talking abt something that happened in Their past. I recommend this bc it keeps u on ur toes
