Ready for autumn 🍂 

Well. The title hints at what this blog will be about. Let’s dive in to a little backstory about me and what has shaped my overall person. 

To start, in 2011, I moved in with relatives of mine in Houston, TX and started my high school journey. Moving in with my relatives changed my life, which I am so thankful for. During this time, I got to experience things that most people could not even dream of. Those experiences helped shape me into the person I am and I look forward to telling you more about the beauty I have seen in the world.

A dip back to my love life - the year was 2014. I got to experience a lot more than most people my age and it started with moving to a country in South America. My Junior year in high school, I moved with my family to South America and was thrown into a world of partying and young alcoholism. Looking back now, I definitely consider myself to have been a budding alcoholic, I have since calmed waaaaay down. I met the “love” of my life, or what I perceived to be the love of my life at this crazy time. We were initially a short lived 3 months, if that, during our time together in South America. News flash, we didn’t work out the second, third, or the twentieth time either, shocker, right? I should have known then that it probably wasn’t ever going to work between us, I received just a taste of all the bad boy drama, and that only wanted made me want him to love me more. Should have seen all of his unhealthy habits for what they were, but did I mention I’m stubborn? 

A year later, in 2015, I moved back to Houston. Unknown to me at the time, my ex had already been in Houston for a few months. He reached out and we got together shortly afterwards. We started our relationship and from the beginning it was a nightmare. I always tried to make it work, pushed my boundaries and comforts to keep him happy. Did I mention I’m stubborn? Every red flag wacked me in the face, while I tripped over every puddle of toxic manipulation, and plaguing myself with self doubt, convincing myself I was the crazy one. This toxic relationsip lasted until Dec. 2019, I’m still working on healing the damage that was caused during those years. I have managed to learn to recognize when I have bad tendencies and I try to correct them. I’ll eventually share any tricks tips, how-tos that have helped me! 

2020 has been the best year of my life. A rollercoaster that keeps throwing me through loops, the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. I’ve never felt so free, ironic since everyone has been in quarantine thanks to Covid. Now I’m finally living in peace, learning what triggers me and finding healthy ways of coping with my issues and insecurities. I’m absolutely content with life and ready to conquer my next adventures. Ready to share my adventures and rollercoaster of a life with you. 

I’ll eventually go into more details with some, or maybe all of these topics. One blog at a time, I will let you in on the life of Naje Doe. 

Let me give you a little of a herstory of my “love” life. First, I would like to call it a “love shape” because it really is continuously evolving, the people change with my moods and I have a lot of those. So no set shapes here, not a triangle of 3 or a square of 4. Sometimes there might be a pentagram of 5 or a octogon of 8. What do I mean by that? This year has been a little wild, I think we can all agree on that. But I have also been a little wild. I’m going to share my ups, downs, and all the crazy in betweens with you. 

In short, I am working on a divorce right now, discovering new things about myself, and exploring life to the fullest. 

This blog will follow my life. The dreaded D word, Dating. Learning to find myself as I enforcing new boundaries - but we will get to all of that evevntually.  I’ll even share tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way, something that maybe can help you or someone you know too. 

I’ll update you regularly, when I remember to, have something intersting to share, or perhaps whenever insomnia takes over once again.
