since requests are open I assume can I get the alien couple and reader meeting their opposites what I mean is the alien reader and the human aliens ( I forgot their names while writing this)
sorry for the wait my friend who is also my reader for longer things like this had a concussion and i didn't trust myself to do this stuff without making a few mistakes.
reader stared at a door. A sign on it read, "Reader, please don't go through this door." Below that, in slopping handwriting, it continued: "You can obviously read. Stop saying this can't stop you!"
Inside the room, a number of sounds could be heard this only fueled their curiosity about what was going on behind the door. However, it was clearly stated that entering the room wasn't safe for humans and could potentially be fatal. Yeah, right humans had said the same thing about aliens, and look where they were now. Still, reader respected the rules and decided not to go through the door, they'd use the vent obviously. Fortunately, they had mapped out the entire area during their previous visits, so they felt confident about this choice.
"And this is going to make the ship go faster?" Garden wiped the oil from their fur. "That's what I would like to happen, but I haven't tested it yet," they replied.
"Right, right. And you want me to test it for you and maybe explode? I didn't know you were so romantic" he chuckled
"No, I want you to test it and maybe explode because you can actually survive the experience. I can't-and reader bleeds to a dull blade," Garden shook their head.
Melon walked around the machine tilting his head slightly. "So, how do I turn it on then?"
"Theoretically, you'd press that button, and hopefully it won't blow up."
reader watched them through the grate. Their hands began to hurt from pressing against the small holes, leaving indented red marks. "Ah, shit," they whined to themselves, a rumbling sound from beneath them caught their attention. "Uh, oh…"
Suddenly, the ground below them vanished, and they fell through the ceiling directly onto the machine. "Ow!"
"What in the stars was-"
Wouldn’t you know it? The damn thing exploded, sending reader flying, only to be caught just seconds later in Garden's arms. Thankfully, none of them were harmed.
❝You idiots! Why were you-how did you even get up there!?❞
reader was going to respond to the question apologize even, until a realization hit them that it was their own voice asking the very question.
As the smoke slowly dissipated, the room gradually came into focus, revealing three other figures. One was an alien roughly the size of a if not smaller then melon by a bit, cradling two humans arms.
"Why are you asking that? You're the one who-what the...?" The melon blinked in confusion, caught off guard by the strangers. Garden stood up slowly reader still in their arms "Oh dear," they murmured, it seemed they had realized the same thing reader did moment ago.
silence washed over the group as all six as they exchanged glances, the longer haired human then let out a groan ❝Oh dear God, that’s us, isn’t it?❞
the other human beside him broke into a smile ❝Aww, we’re together in every universe?❞
Melon, now agitated began to speak again. "Okay, wait, wait, wait! What do you mean? Who the hell are you three?”
❝Oh, please, I’m not that stupid,❞ one of the newcomers scoffed. He got himself from the alien’s arms and focused intently on reader. ❝You, you’re reader, right? You and our reader can just fix this.❞
“W-what? Me?! Why would I know how to fix that thing?” reader stuttered looking at the man confused.
❝warren it would be a reasonable assumption that maybe both human versions of us don't know how to make alien technology?❞
-
❝This ship feels both foreign and strangely familiar at the same time❞ They had been thrown out from the room and now reader was stuck with theses two. Hell Melon’s looked like he wanted to kill them as he closed off the vent thinking back to it.
reader found themselves at a bit of a loss for words though…They had thought about what these two beings would look like as humans, but witnessing it in real life was a surreal experience.
and even in their human forms, the two towered over reader, how humbling...
❝You know, you’re quieter than our reader,❞ 'Warren', reader thought that was a stupid name for him, remarked. His gaze flicked up briefly on instinct, before quickly returning to meet their eyes.
“It’s been ages since I’ve talked with anyone else, it’s even odder talking to you two. A bit taken back really" reader mumbled, keeping their head low they felt embarrassed looking at them.
❝Fair enough,❞ Warren acknowledged with a nod. ❝So, how did you come to be with us in this world?❞
“Adoption? At least that's what they called it, but it feels more like kidnapping. I used to be an astronaut, you know.”
Garner, shot a slow smirk at Warren ❝So, adopted, are you?~❞
❝Oh, how I absolutely loathe this wretched world…❞ Warren sighed running a hand down his face ❝reader is not our kid there like 10 feet fall❞ he argued
Garner gave reader a tight hug their body still as warm as ever ❝I knew you were meant to be our kid!❞
“Kid?” reader chuckled wearily. “At this point, I think it fluctuates between being a child and a pet, depending on the day.”
❝Still I'm happy to know❞
even if the other didn't say it he looked at reader warmly
"So you're the little freak from some opposite universe? How cliché," Melon circled reader, still skeptical.
❝Funny, I was going to say the same thing about you,❞ reader shot back, glaring up at him. They were still upset by the fact that, apparently, if they were the same species, he would be taller.
"Please, do not fight each other," Garden said, shaking their head. They stepped closer to reader with a small smile. "Reader, it's nice to meet you. If you're anything like our readers, I'm sure you're very smart." They gently patted reader's head.
reader scoffed, ❝Don't patronize me. Of course I know what I'm doing.❞ They swatted Garden's hand away and walked over to the machine instead. ❝And just because we share the same role doesn’t mean you can compare me to them. I'm not stupid.❞
"Ah, sure, because you're nothing like them at all, and yet you still 'need' two humans to supervise you?" Melon mocked.
❝That's because being an astronaut is stressful, you idiots! And there's only one of me, so I get lonely. I won't deny that!❞ reader retorted.
"Oh, so you're both astronauts? Well, it's not just a one-for-one situation. Oh, I bet you also like to sit in high places, don't you?" Garden teased.
❝I-well-both of you can shut up! You two can fix the dumb thing on your own not like I care whether I go back or not!❞ reader exclaimed.
The two laughed at this. "Oh, relax, will you? We're just teasing you. Plus, you shouldn't be so on edge. You don't see us all frazzled over the human version of us, do you?"
"But perhaps it's because, even now, you're still a bit younger than us, no? Either way, we don't doubt your abilities. We're just used to seeing you as our... companion. So excuse us if we come off as patronizing."
