For anyone stumbling onto my blog, I apologize for any failings to meet Tumblr conventions. I've been kind of digitally homeless for a while and kind of just use this platform to sporadically throw out thoughts and stuff, since I haven't tried to make a personal website yet haha. I don't know Tumblr conventions or terminology, and often feel like struggle to fit in with other people, including on the Internet (thus the digital homelessness).

I kind of get really rambly also, which I apologize for.

I cracked and had my phone in bed last night, I slept measurably worse than the last 2 days where I kept my phone in the phone box. I also spent the first 2 hours awake scrolling reddit and feel like shit.

On the bus ride to class I saw someone reading a book, which reminded me of the book I've been carrying around for weeks meaning to read and decided to do that instead of more scrolling on the bus.

Dude Im struggling to put words to how much more mentally fulfilled and *whole* I felt reading just 10 minutes on the bus than through 2 hours of reddit.

I made a box to keep my phone in to keep me from using it after I get home.

It's become such a bad habit to just go to my bed and scroll mindlessly for hours every day after I got home, so I thought having a dedicated place to put it, **outside my room** would help.

It's also a place to keep it at night, and I tried to make it intimidating enough to not want to disturb at night.

It's fucked up that last night was the first night in months I've properly slept without my phone :(
