ACTUALLY! A breeder in Germany started to breed healthier pugs called “retro mops” and currebtly ppl are trying to get AKC and UKC to recongnize them as the new standard.

The absurd breed standards are a recent thing, developed in the past 100-150 years. The healthier breeds are much closer to their 19th century ancestors.

Made a little crochet doll of @therealjacksepticeye ‘s mascot, Sam! 💚💚

If anyone knows an address or P.O. Box that he accepts fan mail at I’d really appreciate the info! I’d like to send him one of these once the current pandemic settles down. I’d love to see a picture of him with this little guy too tbh

This took a little bit of time to figure out my pattern but once I had everything finalized it took maybe around 3 hours to finish (about four including trial/error and tweaks)
