Posted this on Blue Sky but like, you guys do realize that there is no evidence UT Asgore stalked or harassed Toriel to bring back the past (for all his flaws). Like the closest he gets to that is his post neutral fight death fantasy which If you reload so Flowey doesn’t interrupt he IMMEDIATELY realizes is foolish and naive before literally killings himself. And him briefly showing enjoy at seeing Toriel again after an implied century only for him to immediately back down upon her rebuking him.
You guys do realize that the reason Toriel self isolated in the ruins and shut the door behind her is because she was so angry at both Asgore AND THE WORLD THAT AGREED TO HIS CRUEL PLAN, that she decided to completely isolate herself from it all, right?
Yoy guys do realize that DR and UT characters are not 1:1 with eachother right? And taht part of what makes DR interesting is seeing how different circumstances makes certain character flaws better
-DR Asgore is actually much more willing to back down on his violence the UT Asgore because he doesn’t have the weight of an entire civilizations hopes and dreams behind him)
and certain character flaws WORSE
-DR Asgore, due to living in a much more sheltered environment and being generally less extreme in his failures is far less able to see that the past cant be brought back and thus becomes hyper focused on “fixing” it to “bring back the good old days”
Like you guys do know that Au changes context which changes character right?
