do you ever think about how ralsei probably saw that flowery had a family and community since the start and thought that maybe they (ralsei) feel powerless because they didn't have that family until kris/susie showed up.

flowery actively tries to go against the prophecy because he believes in the friendship he has with his flower family, and that asgore showered them in love and light for years. whereas ralsei only passively tries to go against the prophecy through wishes and prayer, because they never felt like they had power (or... determination) and that mindset is so hard for ralsei to break out of. because ralsei was always in darkness, and alone for so long.

i do believe narratively that ralsei will become more active in his wish to defy the prophecy because of flowery/chapter 5.
