My Boyfriend is Hotter than Yours
This fic contains Fantastic Four: First Steps Comic Book/Movie Spoilers (loosely based on the events of the comic book, but I changed some things around.)
About: Johnny Storm x Fem! Reader
A/N: Thank you so much to @mayo-advance For the request! I hope you like the finished product!!
Summary: They said everything would be fine. That they'd come back and be American Heroes. But that wasn't the case. Johnny, along with the rest of his family, they were... different now. And he was convinced you'd never want him again because of it.
Warnings: Angst from Johnny and Y/n, swear words, violence, and a happy ending!
Word Count: 3,833

Picture Show
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader
Request: heyyy friend! could you write something where a girl at Hawkins High (who’s sorta in the friend group with Steve, Robin, etc.) decides to go to Eddie’s trailer to either ask him out on a date or maybe to a school dance coming, and she just stutters and acts so damn nervous
Word Count: 0.8k
Warnings: a little bit of fluff, shy!reader, short fic, friends to lovers
AN: this was a request from @laurenandloki thanks for sending this in! I hope you don't mind that it's on the short side, but it's still really cute I promise. Enjoy!
Little side note: after I came up with the title it made me think of a musical I was obsessed with in high school, Bonnie & Clyde. The opening number was called Picture Show and it was a catchy song...basically what I'm getting at is that song is now stuck in my head 😂

Pairing: Eddie Munson x GN!Reader
Request: imagine Eddie one day (for whatever reason) loses his jacket in school. HIS JACKET! and he's really pissed off about it and feels like a part of him is missing. Then one day when he's sitting at his table during lunch he spots his jacket but someone else wearing it?he's mad, like MAD. How dare someone wear one of his his prized possessions and when you say sorry and immediately stand up to remove it, Eddie is struggling because it doesnt help now that you were wearing a sundress and he feels like his eyes could fall out and after saying thanks and before leaving the girl just says "DIO" and Eddie turns around and asks "what?" and the girl responds "between all the bands mentioned in his jacket, DIO my favorite" gives him a smile and turn back to sit down. and Eddie is a blushing mess hehe

(Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader)
summary: You cancel on your plans to hang out with your crush, Eddie, and your friends when you realize your competition for his affections will also be there. So, naturally, Eddie comes to you.
warnings: misunderstandings, little bit of hurt, little bit of angst, a lot of fluff and a lot of comforting,
a/n: little companion piece to In My Dreams. inspired by Hozier’s song Would That I, my re-watching of grey’s anatomy, my love for Lexie Grey who heavily inspires Reader’s personality in this, and that confession. for creative purposes we’re gonna pretend Halloween 5 came out before 1986, Eddie got held back like twice maximum, and everyone is alive/lives in Hawkins because this is an ideal world. probably won’t be able to post much in the coming weeks so enjoy and let me know what you think (don’t be a jerk)! mistakes will be fixed later.
You open the sliding door of the shower with a sigh, arm curling around your body at the slight temperature change as you yank the towel off the bathroom counter where you had set it and wrap it around your body, quickly drying off your limbs. Once you’re dry enough, you step out of the shower, towel now wrapped around your body as you grab a clean t-shirt to wrap around your drenched hair.
You swipe the condensation from the steam off the mirror, staring at your bare, disappointed face before the steam fogs it up again.
Your body heaves out another sigh as you prepare to go through your routine in a failed attempt to not think about all the fun your friends are having without you at that very moment.
It wasn’t like they hadn’t invited you, because they had. Heather had come bounding up to you during break on Tuesday to tell you about the group’s plans to hang out on Friday night, go to the mall, head to the movies then grab a bite to eat and probably hang out at someone’s house. You’d agreed immediately, loving nothing more than spending time with your friends. But then you had found out two things that had certainly rained on your parade before it even started:
1.) Roxy Campbell was going. Heather knew how much you two didn’t get along (a dislike that had been mutual since elementary school but had only spiked in animosity in recent years) and had hurriedly explained that it hadn’t been her that extended the invitation to Roxy, which lead you to reason number two.
2.) Chrissy Cunningham would be there. There wasn’t any bad blood between you and Chrissy, far from actually. You didn’t interact with her too much, she was more Heather’s friend than yours (and you sometimes wondered about that, they often cuddled up during big sleepovers, and disappeared at gatherings) but the common factor between Roxy, Chrissy and you was the real problem.
See, you wouldn’t have a problem being in the same place as Roxy on her own, and same goes for Chrissy, but together, they would just be too much for your insecurity, because Eddie was going.
𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝
Summary: . . . you're drunk off your ass and your boyfriend, Eddie Munson, has to chase you down. that's it.
𝐚/𝐧: 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐢 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐨𝐥, 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
“Eddddiiiiee,” you whined, trying to break out of the iron hold around your waist but no matter how much you pulled on your boyfriend’s arms, he wouldn’t release you.
“Baaaaaby!” He mocked, arms tightening around you as he pulled your back to his chest, eyes searching through the crowd to see if Harrington had gathered the rest of your rag tag group of friends.
The lot of you had been invited to a rager thrown by one of Argyle’s friends. You’d also neglected to mention to Eddie that you’d magically forgotten to eat more than a party sized bag of chips the entire day, so with three shots and a couple of strong mixed drinks in you, you were drunk. Very, sloppily, adorably drunk.
Eddie followed you around when you became impatient with him, huffing and puffing anytime you saw him because you knew he’d prevent you from getting more drunk—sure enough, he’d swoop in and take away any bottle, cup or drink you’d get your hands on.
He had made one crucial mistake though, having decided you were done for the night and with Robin throwing up a bright blue liquid—it was time to go. Eddie had had a twelve second conversation with Steve in which he would go and find Jonathan and Nancy, taking Robin with him.
When Eddie turned back to you, you were hastily shoving something in your mouth, something small enough to be concealed between your fingers.
“No, no, no!” He rushed over, taking your face in a hand and gently squeezing your cheeks to try to get you to open your mouth but it was too late, whatever pill it was, you had already swallowed, “Baby, what did you just put in your mouth?”
You giggled, pleased to be causing him a little trouble and made kissy faces at him instead of answering.
He sighed, wrapping his arms around you while he glared at everyone else.
Speed. Where the fuck did you even get it???
And that’s how you found yourself imprisoned in his arms, patience once more dwindling due to the cotton candy haze of your mind and the energy filling your body.
Eddie could feel your jitters and chanced a glance down at your shoes to confirm they hadn’t magically transformed into a pair of sneakers you could run off in. He’d made it a rule you couldn’t wear a pair if you’d be drinking (yeah, this wasn’t the first time you’d try to flee from him, drunk off your ass, and no, you didn’t do it all the time), and he was relieved the pair of short heels were still in place.
“Please, can you let me go?” You craned your neck back to pout up at him, eyes big as you peered at him from under your lashes.
You were too fucking cute for your own good.
The answer to your question was still no, he’d never let you go but you wouldn’t like that answer right now, so instead he said, “As soon as we’re home, sweet thing.”
That was not the answer you wanted to hear, either, and you scowled, slouching back into him as you glared at nothing.
Eddie was pleased when Steve, Nancy and Jonathan (carrying a passed out Robin over his shoulder) appeared in the crowd, making their way towards the pair of you.
When they got close, Nancy tripped and Eddie dove forward to catch her before she could meet the ground.
“Whoa, Wheeler!” He laughed as he helped her rise and steady, “Forgot how uncoordinated you are with some liquor in you.”
“The sad thing is I’m not even that drunk,” She admitted, grateful she hadn’t been subjected to the stickiness of the floor.
“Thanks Eddie,” Jonathan shifted Robin a little over his shoulder, trying not to touch her too much since she was prone to having physical reactions and he didn’t want to be punched in the face, “Can we leave now?”
“Yeah, let’s get out of here.”
Eddie turned back to you, ready to throw you over his shoulder if he needed to and his mouth dropped open, eyes widening when the spot you’d occupied, literally not even 10 inches away, was empty.
Well, not completely.
The group looked down at the floor to see your heels left behind.
Eddie’s head darted towards the front door just in time to see you escape out of it.
“Oh, shit, not again!”
Eddie swooped up your heels and ran after you, bashing into bodies on the way before he finally made it out of the doorway to see you sprinting across the lawn, your laughter ringing in the night air and he quickly gave chase.
“BABY! BABY, STOP!”
You didn’t stop, having the time of your life as the need to flee from him became more urgent. It wasn’t anything personal, it was just nice to feel like the main character having a little silly, goofy moment and you wouldn’t feel silly and goofy when your boyfriend would be having you drink a ton of water to flush the fun from your system!
“No, I’m fast! Gotta go!” You called over your shoulder, still laughing as you met the asphalt of the street, lungs and legs doing a surprisingly good job at keeping you going and ahead of him.
Eddie kept going too, though he felt the burn of it, chest already heaving but he feared where your drunk ass could possibly end up if he gave up and stopped.
“BABY, I AM BEGGING YOU, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, STOP RUNNING!”
He chased you down several streets, through lawns— apparently you were suddenly good at parkour, jumping over children’s toys and playsets he crashed into—and just when he was finally beginning to think you’d never stop, you started to slow.
Not because you wanted to stop the game or anything, you’d just spent your time running away from your boyfriend thinking about how cute he was. And so sweet and good to you. You longed for him. He always took care of you—drunk or not—gave you tons of smooches, held you whenever you were near, went in search of you when you weren’t, peppered your face in kisses like Pepe Le Pew did to that cat he was always chasing around in the Looney Tunes cartoons and professing his love for you in a shitty French accent, and he always cuddled with you, giving you head scratchies while the two of you lay in bed.
WAIT.
You’d get cuddles, kisses and head scratchies tonight!!!!!
You’d slowed in your thought process, and suddenly you’d gone from eager to get away from Eddie for no real reason, to desperate to be in his arms so you turned around and ran towards him.
Eddie hadn’t been expecting that, the two of you collided, but he wrapped his arms around you to keep you from toppling over.
See??? You knew he’d hold you.
“Gandalf the freaking Grey, baby, you are trouble and too damn fast,” he heaved out, arms tightening as he smashed you to his chest for a tight hug, the hand not clutching your heel straps cradling the back of your head. Eddie was relieved to have you safe in his arms again.
“I’m fast as fuck, I’m a track star,” you chirped, nuzzling happily into the crook of his neck and making it hard for him to be even a little upset with you.
“No you’re not and no more running,” You made a sound of surprise as he quite literally swept you off your feet and carried you back to the house party you fled from, bridal style.
You didn’t fight him, keen on pressing kisses to his neck, pretty face and just about anywhere your lips could reach.
Halfway there, you ran into Steve and Jonathan practically limping. Both were heaving and covered in sweat, the front of their shirts stained dark with it.
“Oh, thank god! No more running. My side hurts, I think I popped something.” Steve said between gaps of panting.
Jonathan couldn’t even speak, the poor guy looked like he was ready to collapse.
“Where are the girls?”
“On. Front. Lawn.” Jonathan finally wheezed out, they’d left Robin snoozing in Nancy’s lap on the lawn while they ran to help (but not really) Eddie catch you.
When you were finally home, squeaky clean after a shared shower with Eddie—you still seemed to have enough energy for one due to your high, though the alcohol was making you a little sleepy—and you were in bed, curled into him with your head nuzzling into the crook of his neck as his fingers massaged your scalp and nearly put you in a coma, he mumbled, “You little shit.”
You giggled, eyes still shut as his chest shook beneath you with his own chuckles.
“You still love me?”
“Always,” Then, after a brief and comfortable silence, “Baby, you should’ve been on the track team.”
“Mmm, I don’t really like running.”
And again, “You little shit!”

☆ EDDIE MUNSON'S MASTERLIST ☆
❣ AGATHA'S MAIN PAGE ❣
Summary : you've waited for decades to find your purpose, a trip to Earth isn't so bad.... is it?
Word Count : I'm not making this long as I can 😩
Warnings : 18+ Eddie Munson x FEM!reader, language, Eddie is 20 but reader would be probably much more older since she's a fairy, VECNA & UPSIDE DOWN DIDN'T EXIST IN THIS but still set in the 80's of course, Jason Carver being a bully (he'll appear very briefly, I promise) calling reader a bitch, use of y/n, cheating (not on reader), mentions of past life of Eddie (briefly too), mentions of Eddie doing drUg deals
What to Expect : fairy!reader‼️ fluff, fantasy, comedy, magical and a bit of angst
Note To Reader : I wanna make this idea come to life so badly and I hope you'll love it! 🥺🫶🏻
Author Note : I just wanna imagine how Eddie would react if he found himself a freaking fairy and he would absolutely go nuts for it and take care of that whimsical being like his life depends on it fr
"W-What the fuck?!"
Eddie falls back down on the ground while clutching of his safekeeping lunchbox that he sells with Chrissy earlier
His hands are shaking and his whole body trembling to what he just witnessed at the moment
He is petrified that something blasted out of nowhere coming from the sky
He tries to get up, his heart rapidly fast as he walks towards at the possible danger
But, he wants to suspect what it is
The smog and the gusting wind whooshes away like nothing happened
He looked around in the woods to see if someone's out there, there's no one
He hesitates to check at the mysterious whatever that was, maybe, he'll might die of being curious
Before he turn his heel backward, a sudden soft glow shining on the area
He squints his eyes as he tries to look harder on the ground
When his eyes finally saw that he's dying to see, it widen and he gasped
The safekeeping lunchbox slipped off from his hands making a "clank" sound
He couldn't quite understand if this is just all a dream or maybe he took too much of the shit that he's having
He rubbed his eyes as if you'll disappear after he does it but you didn't it
He crouches down, reaching out for your hands to touch you
He wants reassurance that you're real
That this isn't just some hallucination
When his fingertips touch the smooth, soft delicate skin of yours is so foreign
He never felt something so different from any other human being before
He let out another gasp, yeah, you're fucking real, alright
"Okay, what the hell is happening" he talks to himself
"Maybe, I should stop selling this, the universe is now testing me to quit it" he raises his hands up in surrender
He gets up and paces back and forth as he glances at you
He taken noticed that there's so many sparkles around you and my god- your hair is like he'd never seen anyone with that marvelous hair it looks so weirdly healthy
Eddie already made up to this mind that you're a fairy, considering how you seem so unhuman-like, okay, you're beautiful that's granted but to him- you're so....unreal
Your clothes are like something came out of the pictures from his favorite fantasy books
He tilts his head because it looks so legitimately that it isn't just some Halloween party costume
You're breathing but still unconscious
Eddie didn't even remember that he'll be late for his next class
You're a stranger and hell- he didn't even know you
But, he can't leave you like this especially in the woods alone
He put the hand on the top of his head, he is so stressed out
He isn't even sure if this is some kind of joke or not
He holds you carefully by the shoulders shaking you slightly as he tries to wake you up
The moment you moved, he raises his brows as he tries to give you space and moves back away a little bit
Your eyes flutters open, your vision is still blurry as you try to comprehend to where you are
You helped yourself up as you look around you, the time when your eyes meet his
Your heart pounds, your eyes light up and you smiled at him
He furrows his brows and he looks at you in confusion
You start to walk towards to him still having the same expression as if you knew him
You really did though, a tad bit
"You look so much better in person!" You spoke in delight and excitement?
"Wh-What?" He extends his hands in stop gesture as you halt your tracks
"Oh, right, I'm Y/N! It's such a pleasure to finally meet you!" You take his hand as you shake it politely
He rips his hands off you and he kept walking backwards as you moved forward to him
"I-I didn't even know you!" He scarily said it out loud
You're taken aback from his outburst as you tilt your head at him
The look you gave him, he suddenly knew that you probably don't remember anything of what happened to you that you're clearly fucking fell out from the sky
"Uh- Y/N- y-you fell from the sky" he points it out in the air
You follow his gesture as your eyebrows both raised together and now you're finally understand why he is so uncomfortable at your presence
You swallowed, you immediately felt the emotion and the feeling that he's having
You can't blame him, he is scared and also he's right, he didn't knew anything about you
"I'm sorry, Eddie- please forgive me, It wasn't my intention to frighten you"
He collects himself for a while as he scans your face, you're telling the truth
He sighs "Look, I-" he paused, trying to pick up the right words to say "I was just out here making a deal- I was supposed to go back to class after it but as I headed back to the building, you- just blasted from the sky on my way there and I don't know why this is happening to me, I don't know why am I talking to you right now, you know me, I don't know you and I have no idea who even are you?!?" He exclaims while rambling
You shake your head "I knew coming here is such a bad idea" you murmured
You walked back away from him
"I should've listen to the rules"
He knits his brows and he follows you
"What? What are you saying?" He blocks your way
Your joyful aura has faded away so quickly, he can't help but feel so sorry for it?
You just stare at him, you shrug- "It doesn't matter anymore"
"Hey, this whole day is so freaking odd to me it's not even over yet, so- don't you dare try to walk out on me, I just want answers"
His tone changed and his face is serious
"you promise- you won't freak out this time?"
He nods
"I'm a fairy, Eddie"
"Are you being for real?" He still refuses to believe until....
You showed him your perfectly detailed wings
He flinches at the sudden appearance of it but recovers quickly soon after
"Y-You're a fairy?!" His eyes goes all over your wings, a small smile tugs on the sides of his lips
You catched it as you finally bought back your mood
"Yeah" you grin at him enjoying the sight of him being genuinely amazed at you
You wouldn't do this for other random people but for Eddie? You trust him and get comfortable for some reason
He finally looks at you with soft eyes "Why are you here?"
Before you can respond, you saw the familiar face over his shoulder, he noticed your expression changes
"Hey! Eddie- there you are! we've been looking everywhere for you" Gareth shouts out loud
He turns his whole body to look at his friend, he grew nervous if he saw you but when he looked back, you're gone
He studies his friend, he knows something is up but he decides to not ask him about it
"You don't want Principal Higgins to give you another suspension, hmm?" Gareth crosses his arms as he smirks
"Oh- get the hell outta here, Gareth" Eddie picks up his safekeeping lunchbox at the ground as he subtly looked everywhere in the woods finding you
Gareth walks beside him, Eddie blurs the voice of his friend talking as he finally found you, his whole face lights up
You wave at him with a lovely smile on your face
He nods his head slightest move as he smiles back at you
"Eddie? About the rehearsal later?"
His friend's voice pulled out of his trance with you
"Uh- yeah, right- after class"
He looked back and you were nowhere to be found
Eddie couldn't wait any longer to go home already, he's been jumping his knee up and down
As soon as he saw the clock strikes at 3pm, he get up fast and went outside of the classroom
He went at the back, the empty hall- he breathes deeply as he shook his head sideways
God- he wishes he isn't losing his mind
"You're not losing your mind, Eddie"
He jumped yet again that you appeared out of nowhere
"Y/N?"
You smiled "Hi, again"
"I-I have so many questions" he says as he memorizes everything about you
Your face and your sweet smile that you always gave him
You nod as you reached for his cheeks that he got caught off by your action "Maybe later, Eddie- you have a rehearsal with your friends, right?"
"Yeah, wait, how did you know-"
"Dude, come on- let's go" Jeff throws his arm around his friend's shoulder
When he finally gets home, he sets aside of his beloved guitar to his room
The moment he thinks to call you- he screams in shock
You winced at his voice
"Holy- fuc- you gotta stop doing that!" His hand flies to his chest as he tries to calm down
"I'm sorry!" Your face makes the cutest frown with that small voice
He chuckles slightly "It's alright" he dismissive his hand to you
You finally lay it all out for him, he watches you intently and he listens carefully
Thank goodness, Wayne- we'll back in the morning
"So" he thinks for a second "You're here to help me?" he makes a point gesture to you and back to him
"Yeah, don't get me wrong, I enjoy and love what I was meant to do, I aced all the tests- I did it well like literally everything but after I finished it- you supposed to have a person to guide that you know deep within yourself that you chose the right one, especially when you're a newcomer that must happen"
He leans closer looking at you across at the small living room
"You didn't have any?"
You break your eyes away from as you look down as you shake your head
"No, I don't- I was there for decades, nothing came up to me that connects with me"
He gives you a sympathetic smile
You blink at him as you continue to explain further more "Newcomer's are allowed to explore the earth to find what's their purpose with one specific person but they're aren't allowed to interact with humans"
"Did you just disobeyed your rules?" He's amused by even a magical creature like you can do stuff like that
"Yeah, I'd have to or else I'll just stare at the abyss" you half-joked
"Everyone up there, they already knew their purpose at the first place and I'm just like so caught up in the middle that I feel like I'm losing my time" you paused, you don't wanna sound too sad
His gaze on you softens as you glance at him, he really does care, you can see it in his eyes
"Every fairy has their purpose like for example, A fairy can help you with love, your talent, even with something more personal like finding your place in the world, a family, anything, even with emotions too"
"And you?"
"I-I still don't know what's my use for the people" you softly replied as you duck your head down
He nods slowly as he spoke again "Does anyone every human have their own fairy?"
"Not all of them- we only appear when a human has a pure kind heart"
"I have a good heart?" He says it aloud in disbelief
"Yes, you do, Eddie" you smile at him
You wanted to say it to him about what's the main reason behind all of this but you don't want to overwhelm him, maybe, soon
"Wow" he grins at you as he looked back at the kitchen
"You might be hungry"
"Do you mean food?"
He looks at you perplexed at your tone "Yeah- wait- do fairies eat food?"
"We don't"
"You're kidding?"
"No, I am not"
"How in the world are you even alive at this point if you don't eat?!"
You shrug "Magic, I guess?"
He snorts "Okay, fair enough"
He's embarrassed not having real food in the house and it's not his fault, he is just not used having guests at his trailer
He prepares Mac & Cheese and regretting giving it you since you said that "fairies don't eat" but that won't even stop you for trying
It's your first time so you copy his movements by bringing the spoon to your mouth
You start to chew until it hits your taste buds and you squeal of how good it is
He chuckles at you in amusement
He bids goodnight to you as headed to his bedroom- you wonder why you're both separated to each other
The moment he enters the bedroom, he almost stumbles to his footsteps
"What did I say about that?!"
"Can I sleep beside you?"
He is dumbfounded at the question as he clears his throat
"No, we can't"
"Why not?"
"Because-"
"Am I not allowed to? Is it forbidden?"
He scratches his head "Y/N" he sighs in tiredness
"I always thought-" you gasp "Is it the human rules?! Do you have like those too?"
He doesn't want to argue with you anymore and he doesn't have the energy to explain it you
This whole day is a lot to take in
"Okay, fine- you want to sleep beside me?"
"Yeah" you reply happily
He just chuckles in your enthusiasm
Phew- good thing he changed his bedsheets, he doesn't want you to see the stains beneath it
He doesn't have a extra blanket so you both share
His whole body stiffens when the moment your body flush down at the mattress as you move around a little to get comfortable
You're the only girl and fuck- you're a goddamn fairy that he bought home
"This is nice" you say
A smile grows on his lips as he looks at you, his eyes went down to your clothes
"As much as I adore your dress- can you sleep like that?"
Every move you make your dress makes rustle sounds "Oh, you mean pajamas"
"Exactly"
"I think I can make up something"
You make a gesture to your hands until a sparkling soft gleam shoots right between your hands targeting your whole posture and it flashes a new set of clothes
He uses both of his elbows to sit himself up
"Woah, if only dressing up was easy like that"
It reveals to be a fluffy white cotton pajamas
You giggled as you take a look around to his room
"I love your room, it's so you"
He chortled "Uh- thank you"
"You mean waiting by decade, did you mean that you're more than 100 years old?"
"Try thousand "
"What- no way- you look"
"Young?"
He nods
"Yeah, time flies different at my place but when you're like thousand is like 20 years old in fairy years"
"Fairy years, huh?" He chuckles
You laugh "Billions are the oldest ones there"
He smiles down at you
"Hey, Y/N"
"Yeah?"
"You don't have to worry about not finding your purpose, you'll get there as long you don't give up"
You didn't expect him to say that you smiled at him widely even more your heart flutters to his words
"Thanks, Eddie, goodnight"
"Goodnight, sweetheart"
Eddie woke up while sleeping on the side of the bed, he brings his whole body to face you
There you are- sleeping peacefully, he checks the clock- it's 5am he wakes up too early as he groans slightly
He watches you sleep until the sun hits your skin- it's like the most extraordinary thing that he ever witnessed in his eyes
There's so many shimmers all over, he hasn't seen that wound under your forearm probably from the fall yesterday, it healed on it's own
"Oh my god" he whispers but he is indeed freaking out not wanting you to wake up
You started stirring in your own sleeping position, he froze, you open your eyes slowly
"Hi" you say with a smile
"Hello, Y/N"
"Eddie? boy- you're home?" Wayne calls out from the other side of the room
"Shit" he gets up and scrambles to pick a clean shirt and pants
You immediately sit up from his bed watching him
"You're nervous" you say
"Y-Yeah- I am"
The moment he reaches for the doorknob, his hair is messy so you click your tongue and say "Wait"
He looks back and you make a gesture to your hands shooting another soft gleam
Out of all the hair care treatments that he did, yours is far more better than he ever did
"Oh" he touches his hair, he blushes
"You're welcome" you smile
"Don't go anywhere, okay?"
"I won't"
He smiles at you as he went outside of the room
"You can uh- stay here until I get back home" he says as he jumps out of his van, it's Reefer Rick's house
Since Wayne is resting at the trailer, he finds another place where you're safe
Not that Wayne can't be trusted- it's just that he will be fucking grounded at the thought he bought a girl home
"Why can't I come with you?"
"To school?"
"Yes?"
He struggles to explain "No- It's too dangerous for you to come with me"
"I could protect you"
"W-What?!"
"If there's monsters I could fight them"
He laughs at your serious tone but that's true he has a lot of enemies at school
He notices that you're not laughing
"You would do that for me?"
"Absolutely! I could teach them some lessons that they'll probably won't bother you again if they try"
"You're serious?"
"Yes, that's my duty"
He unlocks the house letting you both inside as he closes the door, he checks the cabinets at the kitchen, there's plenty of food for you there
"I just can't understand why I can't come with you"
"Y/N" he walks towards you "People aren't like me"
You furrow your brows "What do you mean?"
He sighs "People ain't always nice" he knows it all too well, there's a glint on his eye that you're struggle to read
That's another thing that you should learn
"I just don't want you to get hurt, that's all"
"Okay"
He smiles and walks back at the front door "I'll be back, I promise"
"Eddie"
"Yeah?"
You hug him unexpectedly as he freezes at first but he hugs you back with unfamiliar tingling feeling on his stomach, he looks down at you with a smile
"Jeff, he's behaving very weird yesterday" Gareth argues with Jeff
"Yeah, right" he scoffs
"It's true! He's hiding something, I just know it"
"Hey, guys"
Gareth pretends to act cool
Jeff just whistles out of nowhere
He chuckles "What's going on?"
"Spill it out, Munson"
"What?"
"Gareth says that you're hiding something"
"I am not"
"You're lying!"
Eddie glares at Gareth and Jeff squints his eyes at his friend
"Y/N? I'm back?" He throws his bag on the couch
"I missed you!" You hugged him from behind as he takes a sigh of relief
"Missed me?" He raises his eyebrows, you're very sweet- it's just that this is all new to him, he never had a girl this close before
"Yeah"
Eddie smiles fades too shortly, he heard a rattle outside, he shushes you as you follow him
He grabbed a stainless steel pole, a suspense is growing in the atmosphere as he is ready to hit someone with it
"Woah, woah! Eddie- it's us!" Gareth raises his hands in surrender
"Oh my fucking god!" Eddie sighs in exasperation, he drops the stainless steel pole making a "cling" sound
"Eddie? Are you alright?"
Jeff's eyes widen and Gareth eyes flash with mischief he smirks at the sound of your voice
Eddie became tense as he begs for his friends not to come inside, he tried to block them out of the way, but both of them snickered
It's beyond of his control as he exclaims "Goddamn it!"
They both make a run for it, the moment when they're inside- Jeff and Gareth stopped
Eddie runs his hair in a stressful manner
You got startled at their appearance- you both recognized them immediately
"Are these your friends?" You beam at them
Jeff and Gareth shared a knowing look
"Care to explain, Eddie?" Jeff says
Gareth stares at you in amusement
"Listen, it's not what you think it is"
You felt a danger coming in as you shouted "Move away!"
Jeff, Gareth and Eddie are shocked to hear your voice
They both move out of the way as they went outside watching you in the middle as you stare at the sky
"Y/N? What is it?!" Eddie follows your gaze
"Look!" Gareth points it out a comet coming fast forward to you
"What is she doing?" Jeff says as they watch the scene unfolds
It looks like they're fairies as well but much more darker
A fought them all off and a big woosh of an impact when you had enough of those creatures
"Duck!" The three of them went down when bunch of broken trees flying everywhere
He taken noticed that the more you use your powers your glowing becomes more stronger it's the same thing that he saw from the fall
When you successfully defeated all of them you breathe heavily but a kind smile sitting on your face like nothing happened
Eddie smirks both to his friends, looking at them with jaw-dropped expressions on their faces
"They're gone, it's safe now" you say placing both of your palms to his friend's shoulders
They both sat in silence as they couldn't believe what they just witnessed
"I thought you're hiding a girl from us, not a fucking fairy?!?" Gareth exclaims as you just giggled
Jeff stands up sits besides Eddie as he explains everything
You sat down with Gareth as he looks at you curiously
"That all happened yesterday?!"
"You got that right"
You played with magic while Gareth watches in awe
Eddie and Jeff glances at you both
You can change the colors from Gareth's flannel as both men overhears Gareth saying "Wow, that's so cool!"
"She's here to find her purpose?"
"Yeah, I still need to know more though- she told me that right after you trained, you supposed to have a person ready- she waited for decades nothing showed up to her-"
"That's awful"
"Yeah, I know- I guess she picked me"
"You say that she could protect you right?"
"Yeah?"
"Wouldn't be awesome to bring her around school and watch her kick the fuck out of Principal Higgins?" Jeff jokingly snickers
Gareth chimes in "Yeah! That's gotta be amazing!"
You're fixing Gareth's hair using your powers as you join in the conversation
"Who's Principal Higgins?"
"That's the fucker who got Eddie held up back when he's supposed to graduate"
Before you could respond, Jeff adds
"Even Jason too! Kick his ass- Y/N!"
"Wait- til' Dustin hears about this-"
"No- Absolutely not! You guys are the only ones who can knew of her existence here"
"Your friends have good hearts" you plainly say with a smile on your face
"They both have good intentions and it seems like they only want to protect you like I do"
"I thought you said- I'm the only one?"
"I could protect you and the people around you that are kind to you"
Jeff and Gareth grins at Eddie
Eddie smiles at you and he almost forgot that his friends are there
He rolls his eyes "To the hell with it"
"I'm just worried something will happen to you"
"Don't be"
He loves your fairy aura appearance but it seems to obvious to go inside of the school with that
"Can you like change a bit of your-"
"Oh, yeah right- I can disguise"
Your hair from ebony went to chestnut brown and your clothes became more normal-like but still it isn't just some fabric that you could get in stores
A white skirt and a gray cardigan with black boots
"You look g-great" he became flustered complimenting you
"Thank you, now- let's go"
A bunch of high-schoolers eyeing you both as you hold tightly to Eddie's forearm
"Why is everyone looking at us?"
"It's because I am an outcast" Eddie wanted to say
"They aren't just used to see me with-"
"With what?"
"A girl"
"Oh"
At lunch, Eddie is becoming more anxious, you reached for his hand as he relaxes a bit
"You're okay? Y/N?" Jeff looks at you in concern
"Yeah, it's a lot of youngsters though" you say as you look around the room
"School cliques are fucking territorial" Gareth says as he flips someone off
"Well, someone got a new girl"
You felt Eddie's body tensed at the sound of his voice
That's Jason Carver
Something about this person makes you feel nauseous just by his presence
With one look at him, you knew that he did a lot of bad stuff to Eddie and that alone just pisses you off
"You got a problem, Carver?" You say
Eddie, Gareth and Jeff looked at each other
"I'm not talking to you, bitch"
the three men both rised up to their feet as they shoot daggers at their sworn enemy
You stopped Eddie by holding his chest as you walk slowly to Jason
Eddie, Gareth and Jeff follows you from behind
"I really don't get why you're so mean to Eddie"
All of the students are watching the scenario
The look you gave him is intense that he can't even look you in the eye
For some reason, you made him feel guilty
"Is it because he is everything that you're not? Carver? That's what annoys you?"
The "oooh's" from the students made him feel more worse
"You're a big man with a little dignity, Jason- that's what you are- do better" you scoffed
"Who do you think you are?" He walks closer to you as you push him back
"I am here to tell you to back off!"
"You think you could get away with that easily?"
"Don't test me or I'll tell everyone that you're fucking another girl besides Chrissy"
The whole students that gasped in shock
"Oh shit" Gareth jumps and Jeff cups his mouth
Eddie is surprised became amused that you cussed for the first time and he let out a smug smile to Jason
Chrissy slapped Jason's face as she storms out of the cafeteria
"Hold yourself accountable from your mistakes, Jason!" A cheerleader shouts and gives a smile at you
A bunch of highschool girls went straight to you
"I'm so glad you did that he's getting away with everything just because he has that "popular" title"
You're getting crowded and nod to everyone else that keeps saying "Thank you" to you almost like everyone is celebrating from what you did
In the corner of your eye, you see your friends, Eddie, Gareth and Jeff watching you as they both ramble in excitement
Eddie is the longest one to hold your gaze and he smiles at you
You kept your word to Eddie as the three of them as they watch you reasoning with Principal Higgins
"What's she saying?" Gareth whispers
"I can't lip read" Jeff whispers back
Eddie shushes them both as they try to understand your expressions
You went outside and they both wait for your verdict
"I got it covered" you wink at Eddie as the two of his friends jump in victory behind his back
"What did you do?"
His face doesn't seem like he's convinced, a part of him is relieved but also he isn't?
"I told him that your father doesn't define who you really are" you speak softly to him
His eyes went melancholy being born having "Munson" as your last name, life gets even more tougher
"I picked as fast as I read him what's the reason behind holding you back and that is why" you added as you watch him closely
He became all too quiet but he gave a sad smile to you
You're with him for over a month now and you both grew close.... too close
It feels like you both feel attachment to each other
First blossoming memories with you is getting amazed at the popcorn popping and you sigh in delight of how good it is and Eddie just loves you for it- popcorn is now one of your favorite foods
Eddie introduced you to all of the music that he worships so much- he turned you into a metalhead fairy, he didn't expect you to like it but you did it
Eddie takes you to watch movies at the local theatre and saw "Casablanca" with him
You tried so much harder to learn what love is but it seems like you must to know how it feels first before you learn to what it is
Unbeknownst to you, Eddie watches you as you react at the scenery of the film, appreciating every cinematography and the actors in it too
He's never felt this happy before and it scares him, What if somehow your job is done, what will happen to him?
Can he live without you on his side?
He ignores every feeling that he's having for you and for godsakes- you're just doing your responsibility and here he is falling for you
He bet didn't know that you're also falling for him too- you just didn't know that how it works and it is now happening
You watched him perform at The Hideout for the first time and there you are cheering him on as you look at him gleefully
In a minute, he just took his eyes off of you as he dealing with the crew and staff
A guy approaches you and oh gosh- Eddie felt on rage and jealousy for some reason
He knows about men that cannot be trusted that he just want you for- come on- let's be real here- fucking sleep with you
Before he can interrupt your conversation he overheard him saying "Can I take you home with me?"
You're so polite and also innocent for the obvious predator that wants to lure you into his trap
"Hey, dude- she's my girlfriend" he snarky announced to the guy, the words he just said carries with so much weight before he can stopped himself for saying it
The man recognizes him in one look and walks away quickly
"Y/N, that's what I mean about people that aren't nice"
"Oh, that, I'm sorry but I told him, No- and he wouldn't listen"
He is still furious you can see it in his face "You're good though? Right?"
"Yeah, I'm okay"
"Let's go home"
He's pilling the pillows from his bed as you watch him
"Eddie"
"Yes?"
"What's a girlfriend?"
Fuck
His words are coming out jumbled and his cheeks went crimson red
"U-Uh- that's the term for dating someone" he avoids your eyes
"Dating?"
"Y-Yeah- th-that happens when y-you found love and if you're dating for a long time then-"
"Then what happens?"
"You both get married"
"So we'll get married anytime sooner?"
That's when he tries to stifle a laughter but he can't help but laugh from his stomach forming a boom cackle
You laugh with him while being confused
His laughter dies down as he spoke "That's not easy, Y/N"
"I really don't get it- I mean we're both like dating for a month and that's like very long now"
He just shakes his head and chuckles
"Don't you want me?"
His silly demeanor changes into soft and serious expression
"I do" he thinks to himself
"I really like you, Y/N"
You smile widely at him
"So we do get married!"
He just started sniggering, you really don't get it
You both go back and forth for bickering with each other until you both get sleepy
You dozed off for a few hours and you woke up and it seems too much early for you to waking up at this time
You want to feel him and try to understand him a lot more
There's something that is blocking you off to look deeper into him
You gently touched his chest as you closed your eyes as you went for his core memories
It started so pleasing until his father wasn't emotionally available became a drug dealer that he wasn't proudly to became one too, her mother was everything but died too soon, he missed her everyday, Wayne was the father figure that he never had
He experienced being bullied, he is often discriminated in the town because of his family history, he's an outcast mostly belittling him by the popular ones at school, that's why he always appeared so scary to intimidate the other people who dares to harm him or make fun of him at any possible way, it's a facade to keep bad people out of his life
There's one thing that captures you, the one thing that you could never take your eyes off
Despite his life being so much in despair and agony, he is still.... Eddie.... he never changed and that is why he created this world for people like him and that made your heart swell and a tear went down on your cheek
You suddenly get up and swiped the salty tears from your cheek, you're feeling something so different
You've never cried before and somehow it also made you feel jubilant about it- you learned something new
"Empathy" you hiccupped from your uncontrollable sobs
The challenge is to make him believe that he is lovable and so much deserving of love, you must make him feel that he does matter and not a nobody
Eddie wakes up from your sniffles and he sits up so fast that he hold you by your forearms
"What's wrong, sweetheart?" He uses his thumbs to wipe your tears, this is the first time he sees you vulnerable
"I-I just need to tell you that while I'm searching for a specific person, you just- caught my attention in a snap and I don't know why but for some reason that I was really made for you, something else that is pulling me in that I must go with you"
"That's the reason why I'm here, Eddie, my world didn't gave me a choice because something already has taken the position of it and it's you"
Eddie's heartbeats faster than anyone who runs in a marathon from your words
You just pull him and hug him tightly
"If I could change the way that you see yourself, Eddie- you're a wonderful person"
"That's- oh- sweetheart- that's the most nicest thing that I ever heard"
You both hugged at each other didn't care how long it takes it just feels you whole lot better
Everytime you spend time with him, you learned new things and you can also feel that your time with him? it will be over soon
So, that's why you take the chance to be with him always
"Hey, Eddie"
"Yeah, kid?"
"I just wanna say what you told me really helped a lot and I just wanted to say thank you" Dustin says with a cheekiest smile
"I'm always here for you"
"See you later at the campaign!"
"That's such a sight to see, Ed's" you approach him as soon as the kid was out of the scene
"Yeah"
Come on, say it, it's now or never, Munson
"Y/N? Is this your doing?"
"What do you mean?"
"I dunno- I just feel like light as a feather, I mean- I always been myself but right now being like this since then and I've never stopped myself for doing it- I feel wonderful"
Tears welled up in your eyes as you look down while walking, you just mask it with a smile
Your time has come
"No, it's not my doing, Eddie-"
You feel weak all of the sudden and felt a force pulling you
You fall down from your tracks as Eddie panicked to you catch you before you hit the ground
"Wh-What's going on?"
You can't stop the tears from falling and faking it that you're okay, you let the tears stream down your face
Eddie eyeing you with so much concern
"I finally had it, Eddie"
"What?"
"I found my purpose"
You held his cheeks as you caressing it with your thumb softly
"Empathy, Compassion and Understanding is my gift to you, I successfully made you realized it"
"Y/N- I'm not that good enou-"
"You are, stop doubting yourself, you're unapologetically you, Eddie"
"I-I don't know what to say" his eyes became glossy as he looked around to help you with-
You hand out the "Unchained Melody" tape by The Righteous Brothers, it's a gift that he gave to you
His eyes flashes the same look that you had before and now it's all clear to you, the air between you has shifted
You love him
He takes the tape as he looks at you
"I understood what love means" you smile sadly
He will never forget that night
He taught you how to dance at a local diner that plays the song- it's midnight- there's only a few people there- but to you both it's like you're the only ones left in the world
That's the time when your eyes both locked and you both knew your hearts speaks for each other the same
It's the most affectionate and romantic that you two had ever been
You really wish you had more time
"Thank you, Eddie" you sobbed as the soft gleam strikes down again
"Where- are you going?- What's happening- please- I want you to stay!"
You hugged him tightly as you could
"I need you to stay with me, Y/N" he whispers as he held you so bad that as he cries with you
You kissed him on the cheek as you let it linger for a moment
"When will I ever see you again?"
"I wish we could"
He watches you fade little by little as he couldn't hold you anymore
"No- please! Y/N!- I love you!"
You gasp at his declaration as you smile at him sweetly
"I will never forget you, Eddie, we will be together again someday, my heart belongs to you" your voice echoes as the wind runs through his skin as he breathes it in
He stare at nowhere in the middle of the woods while kneeling on the ground
He looks at the tape and that breaks for him to cry about you again
6 months later
His dream of snatching his diploma and proving the naysayers wrong, thanks to you and for himself that he fights to do great things by helping himself
It's a blissful feeling to himself while looking in the mirror with a big smile on his face
The green toga and his Uncle Wayne on his side proud smile etched in his features
His friends celebrated at the graduation
He kept looking at his diploma with his name on it as he couldn't believe that he made it
"Hey, are you doing well? Eddie?" Gareth asks while sitting beside him
The crowds roar in joyous party going on inside the gymnasium
"Yeah, I'm good- I just wish she's here to witness all of it" he said with a small smile
Gareth gives him a pat on his back but he can see it in his friend's eyes that he longs for you
The first program with the cheerleaders ends as he walks outside of the gymnasium
He wants to clear his mind as the afternoon cool air kisses his skin, he exhales as he looked up in the sky and closes for a while
Listening at the birds chirping, the leaves rustles on the ground, as the students clamoring noise became only a blur
"What do you wish for?"
He open his eyes as the familiar voice that he always missed to hear
He turns around slowly to find where it is and his eyes lands on you
Your eyes are misty to see him once again
"Y/N?!" He says unbelievably, he runs towards to you as you did too
You held at each other's hands
"I-I don't understand- how did you came back to me? I thought when you said your mission was over, you go next to the other person?"
"Well, our mighty and respectable leader saw everything, but yeah- I got scolded like a teenager when I got back there but they felt like it's for the best that they offer me that I should stay and remain with you"
"Really?"
"Yeah"
"And also-"
He slams his lips onto yours as you got cut off at your mid-sentence, your eyes went wild as you cupped for his cheeks, you kissed him back
You both breathe heavily as you pulled back with giggles
"I am not leaving you anymore- that's what I'm trying to say" you chuckled
He nods as he looks at you with those glazing chocolate button eyes "Never?"
"Never"
You finally taken the moment to notice that your job to help with him is like the extravagant thing you've ever done
"I'm so proud of you, Eddie!" You say happily
He turns around to show you his outfit as you squealed with a smile, he carries you as he twirls you around as you yelp and laugh
"Eddie- I have something to say"
"Can you continue talking about it later? I just missed you so freaking much" he pulled you in a hug as you melt with it
He tugs you inside of the gymnasium but you stopped
He knits his brows together
"I love you, Eddie"
He grins and his eyes and his warmth feels like your place to be- it's your home
"I love you too so much, Y/N"
He takes you on his side squeezes you in as you both you and his friends enjoy the once in a lifetime celebration

I ordered Panera tonight and poof ; an idea!
****
Eddie your local DoorDash Driver. One day he picks your name to drop off food and when he see's you he's just like 'holy shit how can someone be that beautiful???' He's constantly hoping for you to order more food but it's been a few days and he's loosing hope.
Until one day your name pops up again and he immediately clicks it, taking a full on u-turn because the restaurant is back the other way and he was dropping off another order but...they can wait.
This time you recognize him when he delivers and you thank him, making a "long time no see" joke and he's completely flustered. He just replies with "yeah ha-well see you next time" with some finger gun shit because he's nervous and...nerdy. And this time it's you who is hoping to see him again.
So you spend A LOT of money over the last few days, hoping the 'cute delivery guy' you told your friends about would come back again. But he doesn't, and you start to loose hope.
Until one day it's pouring rain and you order from your favorite local restaurant, because who wants to go out in the rain? And when you’re notified that your driver is on the way you're practically staring out the window like someone in a music video, and when you see that van pull up, your eyes go wide and jump up from your seat.
Your front door is opened before he even reaches the porch. He's soaked from head to toe and you feel so guilty.
"Oh gosh I'm so sorry you got caught in this horrible weather."
"It's fine. It was worth it." And even under the porch light you can see him blushing. "I'm Eddie by the way." You introduce yourself, shaking his hand. "Well, I better get going. See you soon." He waves but,
"Wait." He stops, and turns back around. "Why don't you take a break, maybe wait for the rain to slow down?" You hold up the back of food. "Join me for dinner?"
"Oh god no I couldn't and I don't want to be a bother-"
"It's fine, I ordered for two."
"...but why?"
"Well for one, leftovers. But I was more hoping for some company."
"...from your DoorDash driver?" You shrug your shoulders with a smile on your face. He looks down at his feet, a small laugh coming from him because he can't believe the 'prettiest girl he's ever delivered for' he told his friends about is asking him to stay for dinner. "Sure, why not?"
Thinking about spending the night with BestFriend!Eddie for the first time and he tells you to "make yourself at home". So you take off your bra, but without taking off your shirt ; a simple trick all women know how to do. And Eddie is just, so impressed? All he can say is "whoa".
"What? You said to make myself at home."
He evens the playing field by changing into just pajama pants, no underwear (you can tell, but you don't want to admit you were looking in the first place), no shirt. You're wide eyed when he comes back into the living room, quickly looking back at the TV.
You spend the rest of the night watching movies and chilling. You eventually find your way to his bedroom. Smoking the last bit of pot you both shared. You're facing each other, the lights are dimmed and music is playing softly through the speakers. He blows out the last bit of smoke and he catches you staring, a slight smirk spreading on his flushed face.
"Truth bomb." Those words echo, a saying that's been going on since you were kids ; You always had to say what was on your mind at that given moment.
You sigh casting your eyes up and down his body, back to his lips. Whispering to the room, "I really wanna kiss you right now."
He scoots closer, admiring the tank top and short shorts you changed into earlier. "What's stopping you?"
You shrug ; Your brain not comprehending anymore sentences, words, phrases. Just mush.
He cups your face, and you lean into his touch. "Just let it go."
And in that moment you just think ah fuck it.
Johnny Storm never lets you lift a finger… Masterlist
“don’t touch her.”
post prison!spencer reid x bau!reader
summary: an unsub grabs you during a raid and spencer looses his mind.
The shift is subtle at first.
After prison, Spencer doesn’t hesitate anymore.
He moves quicker. Shoots straighter. Speaks less.
The team notices.
You notice more.
He stands a little closer to you during briefings.
Walks half a step behind you instead of beside you — strategic positioning.
His eyes scan rooms constantly.
Hypervigilance.
He says he’s fine.
You don’t push.
⸻
The warehouse smells like rust and old oil.
Abandoned auto shop. Unsub cornered. Two hostages unaccounted for.
You’re clearing the east side with Spencer. Morgan’s voice crackles over comms from the other entrance.
“Clear left.”
“Clear.”
You move forward.
Spencer’s gun is steady. His breathing even.
But his eyes? Cold.
That’s new.
You round a stack of tires.
And that’s when it happens.
A hand shoots out from behind a metal shelf — too fast to react.
An arm wraps around your throat.
Gun pressed to your temple.
Your body slams back against a chest that smells like sweat and gasoline.
“Drop it!” the unsub snarls.
Spencer freezes.
Everything goes silent.
Not the room — just him.
You feel it.
That shift.
His gun doesn’t waver.
His voice, when he speaks, is calm. Controlled.
“You don’t want to do that.”
The unsub laughs, pressing the gun harder against you. “You gonna risk it, genius?”
Spencer’s eyes lock on yours.
And you’ve never seen that look before.
Not fear.
Not panic.
Calculation.
Cold. Lethal calculation.
His voice drops an octave.
“Let her go.”
The unsub tightens his grip. You choke slightly.
Spencer takes one step forward.
Morgan’s voice crackles faintly in the distance, but Spencer doesn’t answer.
His entire world has narrowed to the way the unsub’s finger is resting on the trigger.
“You shoot me, you die,” the unsub spits.
Spencer tilts his head slightly.
“No,” he says quietly. “You shoot her, and I promise you won’t.”
The room shifts.
You feel it in your bones.
The threat isn’t professional.
It’s personal.
The unsub falters — just slightly.
That’s all Spencer needs.
Two shots.
Precise.
Controlled.
The unsub drops.
You stumble forward, gasping, and Spencer is there instantly.
Gun gone. Arms around you. Pulling you into him so tightly it almost hurts.
“You’re okay,” he breathes. “You’re okay. You’re okay.”
His hands are shaking.
Not yours.
His.
Morgan bursts in, scanning the scene. “We’re clear.”
Spencer doesn’t look up.
He’s checking you — hands at your shoulders, your face, your neck where the gun had been.
“Are you hurt?” he demands.
“I’m fine—”
“Are you hurt?”
His tone makes you blink.
“I’m okay, Spence.”
His jaw clenches.
Too tight.
⸻
Back at the SUV, you’re sitting on the bumper while EMTs check your throat.
Spencer stands a few feet away.
Still.
Too still.
Morgan approaches him carefully. “Reid.”
No response.
“You good?”
Spencer nods once.
Morgan studies him, then walks off.
You watch Spencer instead.
The way his hands flex at his sides.
The way his breathing is just a little too sharp.
When the EMT clears you, you slide off the bumper and walk toward him.
“Spencer.”
He doesn’t answer.
You step closer.
“Spence.”
His eyes finally snap to yours.
And there it is.
Not anger.
Rage.
Not at you.
At himself.
“I had the shot earlier,” he says suddenly.
Your stomach drops. “What?”
“When he moved behind the shelf. I saw the shadow. I calculated the trajectory but I hesitated because I didn’t have full visual confirmation and that hesitation allowed him to—”
“Stop.”
His voice rises slightly. “I should have taken it.”
“You could’ve hit me.”
“I wouldn’t have.”
The certainty in his voice makes your breath hitch.
He believes that.
“I was trained to respond faster,” he continues, words tumbling now. “In prison if you hesitate you lose control of the situation and I promised myself I would never—”
His voice cracks.
You step into him, grabbing his jacket.
“I’m here.”
His breathing stutters
“I almost—” He swallows hard. “I almost lost you.”
“You didn’t.”
His hands hover near your waist like he’s afraid to touch you.
“You don’t get it,” he whispers. “When he had you—”
His voice drops to something raw.
“I went somewhere.”
Your heart squeezes.
“You mean protective?”
He shakes his head faintly.
“No.”
That scares you more.
You cup his face, forcing him to look at you.
“You did what you had to do.”
“I would have killed him,” he says quietly.
You blink. “You shot him.”
“No.” His eyes darken. “I would have killed him.”
Oh.
Not neutralized.
Not stopped.
Killed.
The prison edge.
You step closer anyway.
“If he had shot you,” Spencer continues, voice trembling now, “I wouldn’t have stopped.”
Silence hangs between you.
You slide your hands into his hair gently.
“Spencer.”
His composure cracks.
“I can’t—” His voice breaks. “I can’t watch someone take you away from me.”
There it is.
Not control.
Not dominance.
Fear.
You pull him into you, wrapping your arms around his waist.
He collapses into it instantly.
All that sharpness gone.
His face presses into your neck.
His shoulders shake once.
“I’m okay,” you whisper into his hair. “I’m right here.”
His hands clutch you tighter.
“I don’t like who I become when you’re in danger,” he admits against your skin.
You pull back just enough to look at him.
“I do.”
He frowns faintly.
“You don’t scare me,” you say softly. “You love me.”
His breath catches.
“That’s different.”
“It’s not.”
You brush your thumb over his cheek.
“You don’t have to protect me from yourself.”
His eyes soften.
Slowly.
“I just…” He exhales shakily. “I can survive a lot of things. I can’t survive losing you.”
Your throat tightens.
“You’re not going to.”
He studies you like he’s memorizing the promise.
Then, finally, he pulls you in again — gentler this time.
Not crushing.
Just holding.
Grounding.
Morgan watches from a distance, giving you both space.
Because everyone saw it.
That flash in Spencer’s eyes.
And everyone knows—
You’re the one thing that keeps him human.
hi! Ive been going through and reading your Spencer fics and you write Spencer so nicely! Like he’s dorky and nerdy but also not overly so. I don’t know if your cafe is still open, but I’d love to order a latte with a hazelnut drizzle and whipped cream! Maybe something with a lot of yearning, specifically on spencer’s side, like a he fell first AND harder thing?
𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒚?

summary: spencer reid is used to people leaving. slowly, inevitably, in ways he can’t stop. a stranger visiting his mom shows him that people can stay.
content warnings: spencer reid x fem!reader, he refers to her as beautiful a bunch, diana reid like that’s the warning. alzheimer’s/dementia, brief implied chemical sedation, uhh a lot sadder than this prompt asked for but it works out
Spencer had learned, over time, that there was a rhythm to Bennington.
Not a comforting one, exactly— nothing about the place ever quite settled into comfort— but a pattern, at least. Visiting hours, medication rounds, the quiet hum of conversation in the day room that never quite rose above a murmur.
It made it easier to focus on his mother.
She was sitting across from him now, turning the corner of a page she hadn’t been reading for the last five minutes, her attention drifting somewhere just out of reach. Spencer didn’t interrupt. He’d learned not to do that either.
“Diana?”
The voice came from the doorway— light, warm, different in a way that didn’t belong to the routine Spencer had mapped out so carefully.
His mother looked up immediately, smiling— really smiling, bright in a way Spencer hadn’t seen all afternoon.
“Hi, dear.”
“Oh— hi.” You paused in the doorway, noticing Spencer. “I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you had a visitor.”
“Oh, don’t worry about it,” Diana said easily, closing her book like she’d been waiting for you.
Spencer stood, stepping aside so you could move closer, watching without meaning to as you did— how you didn’t hover, didn’t rush, just settled beside her like you belonged there.
“Sorry, do you need to do something?” he asked, glancing at his watch. “It’s not time for her meds yet.”
“No, no, sorry. I’m not a nurse.” You smiled, a little shy but not uncertain. “I’m just a volunteer. I come visit Diana from time to time. You must be Spencer.”
He nodded. “Hi.”
“Well, I’ll let you two hang out,” you said. “Good to see you, Diana. And nice to meet you, Spencer.”
You gave a small wave before stepping back out into the hallway, the door closing softly behind you.
Spencer sat down again, but his attention didn’t return to the book in his mother’s hands.
It stayed on the door.
That was the first time he met you.
The second time, you beat him to her.
He’d come by on a weekend, fully prepared to devote the day to the visit if she was feeling up to it. When he walked into the day room, however, you were sitting beside her, reading to her calmly.
He wandered up, not wanting to startle or interrupt the two of you. Your eyes lifted as he approached, finishing the sentence without even looking, a smile drifting onto your face.
“Hey,” Spencer said, slightly cautious. He could never be sure of exactly what state his mom would be in on any given day.
“Hey!” You grinned at him, shutting the book. “Diana, Spencer’s here to see you.”
Her gaze rose to look at Spencer, her eyebrows scrunching together. “What are you doing here, honey? You… you’re supposed to be in school.”
Spencer felt his heart sink a little. Seeing her in an altered state never got easier, but at least today she remembered who he was.
“I’m not in school, Mom.” He replied gently. “I’m here to visit you. Is that okay?”
Though the confused look remained, his mom nodded slowly. “Okay, that’s… fine.”
Spencer pulled out a chair to sit, catching you looking at him in his periphery. You didn’t have the sad, pitying look he had become accustomed to, though. You were just watching, a comforting smile on your face.
A nice smile, he noticed involuntarily.
You scooted back, standing. “I’ll let you guys have some time.”
Before you could walk away, however, Diana turned towards you, her eyebrows lifting in worry. “Could you stay?”
You hesitated, glancing at Spencer to check. His eyes flicked back and forth before he nodded, and you sat back down.
“Okay, I’m here.” You said, your voice soft and smooth. “Do you want Spencer to keep reading to you?”
“I don’t want to read anymore.” Diana replied, her voice a little detached.
You settled on looking at pictures in a photobook Spencer had brought before.
Diana pointed to a photo, her finger hovering just above the page.
“That’s—” She paused, squinting. “That’s a nice one.”
Spencer leaned forward slightly. “It’s from my graduation,” he said gently. “You were there.”
She hummed, like she believed him, even if the memory didn’t quite land.
You didn’t correct her. Didn’t fill in the gaps for her. You just nodded, like the moment was complete as it was.
Spencer noticed that.
He noticed a lot of things about you, actually—more than he meant to. The way you angled the book so she didn’t have to strain. The way you waited through her pauses without rushing to speak. The way your voice softened just slightly when you said her name.
It wasn’t clinical or obligatory. It was intentional.
And that, more than anything, caught him off guard.
Most people didn’t know what to do with his mother. They defaulted to politeness, or distance, or careful sympathy that always felt just a little too rehearsed.
You didn’t seem to be trying at all.
Diana turned another page, then another, her attention drifting again. You didn’t stop her this time. You just stayed.
Spencer realized, with a quiet sort of surprise, that he hadn’t been watching the clock. He always watched the clock here.
“How often do you come?” he asked before he could stop himself.
You glanced up at him, a little surprised, like you hadn’t expected him to speak.
“Oh— um, a few times a week,” you said. “I try to keep it consistent.”
Consistent. The word settled somewhere in his chest, heavier than it should have.
“For her?” he asked.
You shrugged a little. “For whoever needs it, I guess.” A small pause. “But I like talking to Diana.”
Spencer looked down at the photo album, then back at his mom— at the way she leaned slightly toward you without realizing it, like something in her recognized something in you.
He swallowed.
He didn’t really know when he started trying to catch you there.
But one day, unconsciously, he caught himself getting ready to go in earlier than he intended, because he noticed you had gotten there earlier than him.
And before he went in, he put some product in his hair. He thought more about his clothes. He fixed his tie a few times as he walked over, almost subconsciously.
He found himself disappointed if he showed up and you weren’t there. So one afternoon, very casually, he asked the receptionist what days the volunteers typically arrived.
“Looking for anyone specific?” The receptionist asked, flipping through a folder.
Spencer cleared his throat, glancing around. “Uh, not— not exactly, no.”
The receptionist looked up, quirking an eyebrow at him. “Not the one who regularly visits Diana?”
“Well, if you happened to have that information, that would work.” He swallowed, trying to appear nonchalant.
She almost rolled her eyes before leaning forward, eyeing him. “She comes up here on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Every other Sunday.” She whirled around, returning the folder to its rightful place, saying almost over her shoulder, “I believe she’s single.”
Spencer felt his cheeks start to burn. “Um, right. Thank you.”
Suddenly, conveniently, he was able to visit almost every other Sunday.
He watched you treat his mom with such kindness, no matter what state she was in that day. You always offered politely to let them spend time together, but half of the time she insisted you stay. And Spencer was always secretly glad.
It wasn’t just that you were beautiful, though he did think you were. Your smile in particular nearly knocked him off his feet in such a dreary place. But your kindness, your genuineness, your patience all tugged on his heartstrings in a way he was afraid to name.
One day, Diana had a really bad episode.
“Get out of my room!” She yelled, climbing up onto her bed. “Don’t touch me!”
“Mom! Mom!” Spencer tried to calm her, hands raised, voice cracking. “It’s just me!”
“I don’t know you!” Diana spat.
“It’s Spencer! Your son!” He cried, moving to open the door for help.
“You’re not my son!” Diana threw her pillow at him, reaching for anything readily available. “My son is twelve!”
She had declined rapidly today. The day hadn’t started off the best, with her seemingly distant but still aware. However, she quickly spiraled into not knowing where she was or what she was doing there.
She didn’t recognize Spencer.
The nurses and orderlies quickly flooded the room after her cries filled the hallway. She thrashed against them as they administered a sedative. Spencer swallowed thickly as he watched her slowly stop struggling.
Thirty minutes later, he was sitting on the steps outside of Bennington, head in his hands. He felt as though he was out of tears, his throat just aching and his heart heavy.
“Hey, Spencer.” Your voice came from in front of him.
Oh, great timing, he thought dryly.
He sniffled, quickly wiping his face with the back of his hand before lifting his head to look at you. “Hey.”
“What happened?” You asked softly, not hesitating to drop your bag and take a seat beside him on the hard cement.
Spencer let out a quiet breath through his nose, like he was trying to steady it before answering.
“She—” he started, then stopped, jaw tightening slightly. “Bad day.”
You nodded slightly, eyes flicking over him. You didn’t speak, just gave him space to think. You were just… there.
“She didn’t recognize me,” he added after a second, eyes fixed somewhere out in front of him. “Which isn’t—” He huffed a small, humorless breath. “It’s not new. It happens.”
You shifted slightly beside him, not too close, not too far.
“That’s really hard,” you said gently.
Spencer nodded once, quick and small.
“I know what it is,” he said. “I understand the progression, the symptoms, the—” He cut himself off, shaking his head slightly. “It just… doesn’t make it easier when it’s actually happening.”
You glanced down at your hands for a second before speaking again. “You don’t have to be okay with it just because you understand it.”
That made him look at you. Really look at you.
And for a second, something in his expression softened in a way it hadn’t all day.
“…I know,” he said quietly. “I just… keep thinking I can fix her. That I can do something.”
You nodded again, a small, sympathetic frown etched on your face as you looked at him.
“You are doing something.” You replied after a moment. “You visiting her is doing something. Being here for her is doing something. And…” You hesitated before continuing. “She’s told me about how you’ve taken care of her basically your whole life. You’ve done everything you can, Spencer. Now you just… be here. You’re allowed to feel sad about it, though.”
He nodded, wetness brimming his eyes. Apparently, his earlier sentiment about being out of tears was incorrect.
As he looked up at you, he thought somewhere in the back of his mind that this moment might make you the most beautiful person he’d ever met.
He didn’t thank you. Didn’t make a big deal out of it.
But he stayed.
And so did you.
You sat there with him until he finally stood up, dusted himself off and waved goodbye.
“See you later, Spencer.” You waved as you walked inside, the wind ruffling your hair as you did so.
And you did.
Later that week, he came back. And by what he pretended was pure happenstance, you were there too.
Diana was having a much better day this time. She was calmer, lighter. She recognized you and Spencer. Though she didn’t seem fully oriented to where she was or why she was there, she wasn’t upset about it.
You were sitting beside her again, flipping through the same photo album, Spencer across from you this time.
“That’s you,” Diana said suddenly, pointing at a picture— though it wasn’t actually of you.
You blinked, smiling anyway. “Is it?”
“Mhm.” She nodded, very certain. Then she looked between you and Spencer, her eyes narrowing slightly like she was piecing something together.
“You like her,” she said.
Spencer froze, jaw going slack. You choked on a laugh.
“Wh— what? No, Mom—“ Spencer started quickly, ears already turning red.
Diana ignored him completely.
“You should take her out,” she continued, waving a hand like this was obvious. “You don’t go out enough.”
“Okay,” Spencer said, trying to gently redirect. “We’re not— that’s not—”
“You’d be good together,” she insisted, looking at you now. “He’s brilliant. Talks a lot.”
You bit your lip to keep from smiling.
“I’ve noticed,” you said.
Spencer looked like he wanted the ground to open up and swallow him whole.
At some point, you slowly gathered your things, saying goodbye to him and Diana and that you’d visit again soon.
“Uh, hey.” Spencer scrambled to follow you out the door, catching it just before it shut behind you.
You turned around, eyebrows raised. “Hey, you okay?”
There it was again. That instant, selfless concern for others. You don’t want to know what he wants. You just immediately default to asking if he’s okay. His heart skips in some unfortunate way.
“Yeah, yeah, I just…” He swallowed. “About what my mom said in there—“
You wave dismissively, smiling. “Oh, it’s no big deal. I’ve learned to take some things she says with a grain of salt.”
His jaw worked as he tried to muster up the courage for a brief second to correct you. To tell you no, she was right, I should take you out, let me take you out, please.
Your smile dropped a little as you waited. “Spence?”
Spence.
It sounded so nice coming out of your mouth. He wanted to hear that again. Oh, how he wanted.
Then he heard his mom laughing at a picture back in her room, and his guilt won out. He didn’t want to compromise his mom’s care, or the joy she seemed to get from having you around.
“I just wanted to make sure you weren’t uncomfortable.” He finally forced out.
“Not at all.” You tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. “I’ll see you later, okay?”
Spencer just nodded in response, his emotions warring inside him. Disappointed, embarrassed, guilty, want. He watched you walk away for a second too long before sighing, turning back to enter his mom’s room.
It took him three more visits to actually do it.
Three visits of almost saying something. Three visits of overthinking it on the drive there. Three visits of telling himself it wasn’t a good idea.
Because you weren’t just… someone.
You were tied to this place. To his mom. To something fragile.
And if he got it wrong, he might lose you entirely. Worse, his mom might suffer for it. That was worse than not having you at all.
“Hey,” you said one afternoon, stepping out into the hallway with him again. “You’re leaving early.”
“I have a case,” he said automatically.
You nodded, but your expression softened slightly. “Alright. Go save the world, then. Anything you want me to do for her?”
“No, I don’t think so.” He pursed his lips in an awkward half-smile.
“Alright, then.” You turned to open the door back to the room.
Spencer’s mouth flopped like a fish for a moment before he finally spoke up, heart seizing.
“I was actually wondering if—” He stopped, adjusting his grip on his bag. “If you’d maybe want to—”
He almost backed out.
“I mean, if you’re busy, or if it would be inappropriate because of—” He gestured vaguely toward the room.
“Spencer.”
He looked up.
You were smiling. “Are you asking me out?”
His brain short-circuited slightly. “Yes. I— yes. I am.”
Your smile widened, softer now. “I’d like that.”
“Really?” The word slipped out before he could stop it, causing you to laugh.
“Spencer, I didn’t meet you for three months of volunteering up here.” You crossed your arms in front of you. “Did you really think I wouldn’t notice you visiting on the same schedule as me?”
He ducked his head sheepishly, running a hand through his hair. “…Cautious optimism?”
You laughed again, and it was the most beautiful sound in the world.
“Why don’t you get my number from the receptionist?” You teased. “Then you can call me.”
“She promised she wouldn’t say anything.”
You giggled once more. “Bye, Spence. See you later.”
The rhythm of Bennington hadn’t changed.
Visiting hours. Medication rounds. Quiet conversations that never quite rose above a murmur.
But somewhere along the way, you had become part of it. And for the first time since his mother had been admitted there, it didn’t feel like something he was just enduring.
It felt like something he might actually want to come back to.

Steve Harrington x best friend
Pregnant reader, not his baby. Request: Here
“You okay?” Steve asked as he rushed towards you as you struggled to get up off the sofa, eight months pregnant everything was a struggle now.
“I’m fine, Steve” you huffed as you pushed his arm away “still got another month of this, I’ve gotta do it”
“You know the doctor said it can be anytime now” Steve’s arm looped under yours pulling you up as you rolled your eyes at him. He was right, he’d been with you to every single appointment. He knew everything going on with your body right now, sometimes it helped sometimes it was overbearing.
“Still..” you sighed as you waddled towards your shoes by the door, ready to start the next task of getting your shoes on “stay away, Harrington!” You warned him pointing your finger towards him as you sat down on the sofa to put them on.
Steve smirked as he watched you struggle to reach down, huffing and puffing as you moved around trying to wiggle your foot into the shoe not being able to reach it over your bump. Folding his arms across his chest with a smug expression on his face as he waited for you to give in.
“Fuck” you sighed accepting defeat and flopping back against the sofa, Steve let out a breathy laugh walking towards you.
“This is humiliating” you groaned as you watched him pick up your shoes, getting down onto the floor in front of you.
“Hey, just let me help” he spoke softly as he smiled up at you, squeezing your knee reassuringly before pushing your foot into your shoe.
“Fine” you huffed as you placed your hands against your face to hide the embarrassment, life really had gone downhill having to let your best friend put your shoes on for you. You lifted your other leg so he could push the other one on for you. Steve stayed on the floor looking up at you smiling, his hand making its way to your bump. Moving it around every so often to feel for kicks, one of his favourite pass times. Sighing every time it doesn’t happen, he’d spend nights talking to your bump trying to get the baby to kick so he could feel it but it never did. You hoped he’d get to feel it before you had the baby, you couldn’t take the offended look on his face every time it didn’t happen.
“Just taking care of my two best friends” he laughed, your heart fluttered. He really was the best, nothing was ever too much for him. Whoever got to make him a dad one day would be so lucky, if this was how much he cared for a baby that wasn’t his, your heart swooned at the thought of what he’d be like with a baby that was.
“We’re so lucky” you smiled, pulling your hands away from your face to look at him.
“True” he teased as he laughed getting onto the sofa next to you, arm slung across the back of it around your shoulders “I can’t wait to meet him”
“Yeah?” You turned to face him, god you couldn’t wait either.
“Yeah, I’m gonna teach him so much” he sighed happily, thoughts flowing through his head about everything he could teach him as he grew up. “I’m gonna be his role model”
You laugh as you look at him, Steve’s eyebrows raising as he looked back at you making you laugh more. As funny as it was that Steve was so confident, he was right. The only male your baby would have in his life since your ex walked away from you both, Steve stepped up to take his place straight away.
“What’s funny?” He asked a smirk starting to spread across his lips, hand moving to rest against your shoulder giving it a gentle squeeze.
“Nothing” you smiled letting your head fall on to him “Thanks Steve”
Steve smiled as he let his head rest against yours, hand settling on your bump.

summary: when steve gets hurt in the upside down, the party doesn't know who to call — thankfully, he remembers someone he always had a crush on in high school with larger than life aspirations to become a nurse. pairing: nursing student!reader x season four steve content/warnings: mentions of wound care and cuts, scars, bruising, etc, all of steve's injuries are in reference to when he gets attacked by demobats in s4, eddie is alive bc i fucking said so, no nancy slander on my watch, i know absolutely nothing about medical care so i probably got some stuff wrong, slight references to steve's trauma (shitty parents, his king steve era, feeling unloved), major hurt comfort, happy ending!! word count: 4k
The day Nancy Wheeler calls your apartment to tell you about demogorgons and the Upside Down, you think she's playing a cruel, uncharacteristic prank on you.
You're not sure why she'd do that — you graduated high school a year and a half ago and were currently gearing up to return to Hawkins for Spring Break, because where else would you want to spend it? At first, your initial response is to sputter, and then laugh uncomfortably into the receiver of your plastic phone.
You're not even sure how she got your landline number; you live in a shitty off-campus loft and Nancy would probably only know to reach you via your parents' house, where they — and you, up until graduation — have lived their entire lives.
