I decided to take myself out to dinner at the restaurant across the street that I try to be judicious about going to solo because it's like $100 out the window if you have a drink, app/dessert, and entree but I DESERVE TO CELEBRATE TONIGHT.

egg retrieval Friday morning! this time my doctor called me tonight about 20 min before I was supposed to take the meds at 9:30pm exactly to check and reiterate our plan. and she told me who's doing my retrieval this time (her co-founder of their clinic) and overall I am feeling cautiously optimistic. at a minimum, I know what to expect in terms of the procedure and also yield.

at the wedding I accidentally flirted too close to the sun and made one of the groomsmen fall in love with me, I realized it immediately and tried to walk it back after there was a weird interaction with him & a guy friend of mine. the guy didn't really talk to me at the goodbye brunch the next morning (which, honestly good, I was with other friends) and then 2 days later on Wednesday (the wedding was Sunday) he texted me "Good Afternoon Shira, you were on my mind. How’s your day going?" in the middle of the afternoon while I was at work and I didn't respond and have remembered about it several times and I know I SHOULD respond but I just...don't care? I'm tired, I don't know this man, at this point it feels like it would almost be more cruel to respond and then have to let him down easy. idk. a man wouldn't give it this much thought if the tables were turned.

in the last week or so, not one but THREE dudes I used to know/had hooked up with have added me on social media (fbook/insta). I haven't spoken to them in 5+ years for each of them, for one of them probably 10+ years. WHAT is in the water??????? I haven't posted anything on social media (other than Tumblr) in ages so I am truly mystified!

I know I owe an update from the amazing wedding last weekend but today is the first day in 7 consecutive days I'm not spending with my new friend M* and wow how lucky am I to have such a dear college friend (E) who has other amazing friends 😊😊😊

today is the first Manhattanhenge of the year (when the setting sun aligns perfectly with the city grid) and literally ALL TRAFFIC on those specific east/west streets is fully stopped because hundreds of ppl are standing in the street staring straight into the sun and taking pictures 😂
