I’ve been pretty MIA, tumblrland. Its been a tough semester, but its been a really rough week for me. My former diss chair/mentor died on Tuesday. I also just found out from the son of the only family I was allowed to hang with throughout my childhood that his mom died. She was like a mom to me: always supportive, there for my concerts and graduations. Shit, man. That, plus going home to the crazy draining environment has me all sorts of fucked up right now. Figured I’d shout into the void. 

I’ve been working in my university’s bookstore and some white guy wearing a MAGA hat plopped down at a table and has been playing on his phone. He was asked politely by some Latinx girls to take off his hat, and he scoffed as he snidely said, “No, I’m gonna keep this on actually.” The girls left, obviously not wanting to work with him around.
