(Heyyy, posting this more to have it all in one place rather than showing people specifically, but I figured I post so infrequently I might as well have it be public. lol) This is my D&D character (OC, if you will) named Jason Philos. He’s a lawful good cleric in the church of Ilmater with a dark, tortured past, but a kind heart. Jason is a Caucasian Teifling with light but slightly tanned skin and a lot of freckles. His face has an average sized but defined jaw and nose. (I would have included his face in the full reference, but I'm not good at faces and gave up. So I just put an old and not-great drawing of it in the corner.) - Silver eyes (entire eye, not just the iris, but with a darker silver outline where the iris is). - Messy, medium length (longer/fuller at the top and shorter towards the bottom), dark but vibrant red hair parted on the side. And many cowlicks. - Dark brown antler-like horns that start from behind his hairline and shoot backwards over his head, ending in sharp, upward points and with 2 more sharp points along them. - Long pointed ears (like Hylians). - Thin tail with a tuft of fur at the end, matching his hair. He's 5'11" (not including horns) with a somewhat thin frame, but broad shoulders and relatively toned muscles (not buff or ripped, just fit). He wears: - A worn and faded black, long-sleeved tunic with a corded tie in the front. - Simple, slightly loose grayish-brown pants. - Off-white (like it used to be white but has dimmed over time) cloth around his hands, wrists and about half his forearm, as well as around his feet and ankles going halfway up his calves. - Faded, tattered and frayed scarf that may have once been blue, but now is more gray than blue. - Black, very worn and scratched leather armor: forearm bracers which only go halfway around his arm over the wrist wraps, held on with belts/straps; shin guards which only cover the front of his shins that are over the ankle wraps, also held on with belts/straps; shoulder guards in 3 layers each for flexibility, held on by belts/straps; breastplate (and backplate), held on with belts/straps, but with one side broken off the shoulder, being held up by the shoulder guard. - Long white cleric cloth with a hood in the back, hanging from the top of the breastplate going down (under his belt) to his knees, with simplistic copper-colored embroidery along the edge and the symbol of his god, Ilmater, (an outline of two hands in a bound position held downward with a red cord wrapped around them) on the chest. The cloth is old and frayed at some parts. - A red cord, either rope or beads tied around his left wrist. His shoes are probably brown, but I have no idea what to do with them. Simple and old and worn is all I know for sure. He carries a wooden quarterstaff (which is up to about his chin in height), a small crossbow hangs from his belt (which also has various pouches attached to it), and he holds a small, stylized shield either on his left forearm or hooked onto his backplate. The shield has an asymmetric design... and is hard to describe, so refer to the drawing. But it's made of wood except for a metal rim, and painted dark green, which has worn and faded over time. It also has a faded white leaf painted in the middle. As for his personality, while he does feel comfortable and happy with his friends, he tends to be reserved and comes across as quiet and anxious (often clutching at his scarf in a sort of self-comfort or protection), though underneath he's a caring person who sees beauty in simple things and generally just wants to make people happy. If an innocent person or someone he loves is in trouble in some way, he will usually be able to break through his surface issues and take action where needed. He’s very loyal to his friends and protective of the innocent and those he cares about. From his actual character sheet... Personality traits: “I was once fun-loving and outgoing and loved to laugh, but since suffering traumatic experiences, I'm now reserved, cautious and timid.“ Ideals: “To do whatever I can to aid the needy and comfort the suffering. To care for all others, no matter their race or origins, in service of my god.” Bonds: “I value friendship, loyalty and trust the most in my life. My calling is to the service of my god. I'm grateful for all he has given me and all he has taught me.“ Flaws: “I'm prone to anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulty in standing up for myself, and am easily intimidated into doing the will of others.“ Also, he has a cat named Anwen who likes to do her own thing and rarely does what he says, but will occasionally cuddle.
