THE BRIDGERTON RESIDENCE — Ranger’s House (London) was used to film the exterior shots of the Bridgerton residence. Both the Staircase and Great Hall belong to Halton House (Buckinghamshire), as well as some of the hallways. The garden scenes were filmed at Chatham Dockyard’s gardens (Kent). The rest of the rooms and almost all of the furniture were built from scratch for the show.

In adapting Julia Quinn’s wildly popular “Bridgerton” novel, “The Viscount Who Loved Me,” it focuses on Jonathan Bailey’s divisively rigid Anthony as he finds the one woman who can make him believe in love. Even as the second season took pleasure in frustrating its audience with an excruciatingly slow burn, though, Bailey found enough depth in his character to make him a compelling romantic lead — aided, in no small part, by a worthy counterpart in Simone Ashley. As Anthony and Kate warily circled each other, Bailey and Ashley made sure the audience could never forget exactly how much they were dying to rip each other’s clothes off, delighting in the exquisite pain of leaving them (and their equally hungry audience) wanting more.
