The dull thud of my forehead against my palms echoed throughout the dressing room as I considered ditching Luna through the bathroom window, something that I would gladly have done if it weren't for the fact I'd have to walk outside in this stupid dress.

"Are you ready yet?" Luna's voice came from outside the door. She had been waiting for 30 minutes already. I had promised her I'd be out... 20 minutes ago.

I look down at the monstrosity hanging off my body. A drop-waist dress drowned in barf-green fabric with blue buffalo plaid all over it.

I'm convinced not even a troll would wear this; the person who made this dress should be burned at the stake.

"What if I just stay in here for the rest of my life?" I reply to Luna, still trying to figure out if this dress could somehow look good?

Definitely not.

"I'm sure you look fine! Just come out and let me see!" Luna demanded through the wooden door.

The door creaked open as I pushed it open, almost accidentally hitting Luna. She looked at the dress in confusion. "I could've sworn it looked good on the rack," she said to herself, tilting her head as if that would fix anything.

The door bell chimed as someone walked in. Due to the set-up of the boutique, whoever walked in would get the free entertainment of me standing in the world's worst dress.
