Regulating my nervous system and finding my spark again like a real diva

I am yearning for people from my past tonight. It’s so weird because I know they were never for me. Why yearn now? It feels so self deprecating. I’m asking a ton of ‘what if’ questions but deep down I know it would’ve never worked out. Why can’t I seem to think of something else? My head is full of people who have wronged me, old best friends, ex partners. There is no way things could’ve ever worked out, why think of a what if? Why is my soul suddenly yearning for all these people? Why do I feel a sense of missing them? All of them? I wish I could leave them in the past forever. I forgive and I want to forget. Maybe this is part of being in the mid twenties. Reminiscing about people that should stay in the past. On the other hand, I’ve been listening to a ton of music that I listened to back in those times. Maybe my brain connected these people to these songs? Whatever it is, I am aware that life is better without these people. They may be great and I wish them well, but I know my life is better without them. I know they’re not meant to be with me. I know I am living my best future without my past.
