Like, people love to claim he’s only hated because he’s the only person of color in the cast, while completely ignoring the perfectly valid reasons to hate Mink.

I will be the first to admit, Mink is very complex and I do like his character. But I don’t love him, I actually hate Mink. And not because he’s not some skinny white blond boy, I actually love that Mink is indigenous. I hate the fact that his entire route is probably 95% assault and violence. And that other 5% being character development so subtle it might as well not be there.

The assault isn’t “hot.” None of the assault scenes in DMMD are. Playing Mink’s route made me genuinely ill and I found nothing redeemable or endearing about Mink as a love interest.
