Happy Octopus Pie 19th & Perfect Tides Switch Day to all who celebrate it!
Perfect Tides: Station to Station Available for Pre-Order on Switch
It’s practically here. You can now pre-order Perfect Tides: Station to Station at a 15% discount for Switch in both the US and EU eShops.
During the pre-sale, I’m also discounting both Perfect Tides games by 15% on Steam. You can get 1 and 2 individually or discounted as bundle.
It’s a thrill that this day is finally coming, and I hope it’s the first of many. I’m very eager for more people to try the game on their platform of choice.
Quick Q&A:
Is the original Perfect Tides coming to Switch?
Yes, Edmundo and I have already gotten the ball rolling on this process. I can’t estimate a date right now, since PT1 needs a bit more adjustment gameplay- and content-wise to be ready for console. But yes, we are working on it.
Do I need to play the games in order?
PT2 was designed to be accessible as a standalone game, and if you’re new to the adventure genre, it is an easier starting point. Although the two games together paint a rich picture of Mara’s adolescence, it is not necessary to play them in order.

I know they weren’t made to last in the end but it brought me great joy to see that Mara and Daniel not only became friends after the first Perfect Tides but watched their relationship grow into what it became in Station to Station. Fall and Winter broke my heart but Daniel and Mara in the Spring and Summer was such a treat.
got to the karaoke section of perfect tides station to station. absolutely floored
Tides Punk came up randomly in my "my mix" youtube playlist after not listening to it for over a year and I can't stop things about it. Not the song itself but every single thing leading to it.

The Highline Triptych ! (+dawn version) These were my absolute favorite backgrounds to make for the whole game. I have fond memories of visiting the park with my dad on the very first day it opened to the public and looking out at all the still-wild sections...it was so much fun to tap into that feeling for these. Go play Perfect Tides: Station to Station and run around on the tracks the way I always wanted to!
Probably one of my favorite parts of PT:STS! The Perfect Tides games always have these beautiful moments of exploration and reflection, particularly in the final chapter, that always sticks with me long after I play.

Some of my favorite moments from perfect tides
This is my recommendation to play the game Perfect Tides: Station to Station
oh i would commit CRIMES to have Jentry Chau vs The Underworld rebooted into longer show with filler episodes and monster of the week battles and seasonal overarching plot lines but we can't have shows like that anymore and it kills me, IM DYING YOU HEAR?!?!?
Best and worst: any topic, any fandom, you decide! What is the best and worst __?
I'll take this one and I'll go with "best and worst fictional towns". A fictional setting can really capture me into a story and make me connect with it more deeply. This won't be a particularly exhaustive list but if people want me to add more locations, I'll certainly try to think up some more!
Anyway...
Best: Beach City, Delmarva - Steven Universe
Man, Beach City really goes hard as a setting. Putting the more fantastical elements with space aliens and all that aside, Beach City is just an absolutely beautiful coastal town that feels like this idyllic place that we've both never been to before yet know it very intimately. The walkable town and the boardwalk, the beach, the outlying rural areas with barns and grassy hilltops. It's really capturing that Mid-Atlantic charm and makes me want to just pack up and move there for a summer every time I see it.
Worst: Quahog, Rhode Island - Family Guy
In all the years I've been watching Family Guy, I can't ever say Quahog evokes anything in me besides something ranging from neutrality to dread. At best, it's the setting where the Griffins live and have their weekly adventures. At worst, it's a town that the closer you look at it, the less you want to see. Best case scenario for me, Quahog is just the backdrop for Spooner Street and evokes nothing in my soul outside of "this is generic town, USA". There are high school theatre sets I've seen with more heart and soul than Quahog, RI.

Hey there! What’s your favorite episode of Bob’s Burgers that no one ever seems to talk about?
I always find the episode "The Hurt Soccer" enjoyable and one that I feel doesn't get its flowers all the time. Like, I'm a sucker for a fun little sports episode, which felt very true to the characters involved here. Each character interacted with being responsible for this failing sports team in their own special way, it's a joy to watch. The fact that the "win" for them was getting blown out but not shut out is still so funny to me.
Oh, and the Home Movies references. This was the episode that made it click in my head that H Jon Benjamin not only worked on Home Movies (a fave from my tween years of sneaking Adult Swim without my parents knowing) but also Science Court (a fave from my 5th grade science class).
I don't think most people cite this episode as their favorite, but I come back to this one every once in a while and it's got that heart that always brings me back to this show.
if bob’s burgers created a sequel show (kind of like full house and fuller house) what would you like to see in it?
If Bob's Burgers had such a show, I think a small time skip could be in order and could really be a new angle for the show to explore. Has Bob's burger ethics paid off with serious success or maybe even with a little more regular foot traffic? Would Louise's enterprising spirit pay off for the restaurant? Will Gene become that art school musician that he seems destined to become someday? So many new storylines could potentially open up by taking the show a few years into the future. If it makes more sense, a larger time skip where they jump to a future where Louise and Tina are in charge of the burger joint as two adults in their 20s or 30s could be interesting. Of course, I fear that this would imply something happens to Bob (the man is too stressed, you can't be that stressed for that long).
For a funnier and way more cursed option, how about a Bob's Burgers version of the Cleveland Show where you move a side character to some small town in Virginia, cancel their show, then move them and their new family back to the Boardwalk? I'd love to know what side character people think would be good to move and give their own show.
