Simon and Tommy had a complicated relationship as brothers. 

At a young age, Simon basically wrote himself off as a lost cause, and did the best he could to make sure at least Tommy had a chance to be a functioning human being. After all, Tommy was the gentler brother, the dreamer, the one who looked like their mother (who'd walked out on them years ago to escape their father). But Tommy got bitter, got sick of the one always being protected, being babied. He lost respect for Simon, for the way he wouldn't fight back, and in a twisted way, grew closer to his father as a way to learn how to be powerful, strong. It backfired, and Tommy got wrapped up in some bad business.

I think Rodion would evidently discourage self harm but in a delicate way because he knows Nikto well, and well, just saying "don't do this/it also hurts me if you do this" etc doesn't work (and especially not on nikto)... He would try to navigate around it only when Nikto is open about it and otherwise not mention it/care for Nikto the same way or maybe a little more...

For Krueger it's a bit different, I've maybe mentioned it in another ask answer but regardless I did briefly mention it in The Archer: due to the nature of their relationship, Nikto sometimes sort of relinquishes the control of certain things to Krueger... including self harm; sometimes Krueger will use a blade and scarify Nikto if Nikto demands it, usually somewhere he can't reach like on his back (where I hc he had a huge orthodox cross tattooed from his youth. there are many layers to Nikto's self harm.)

I imagine Nikto to be "passively suicidal" which kinda culminates in him going awol (actively suicidal move but still passively in the way he seeks situations where he can die but will not just do it himself you know).. I think it'd take a lot for him to actively be a suicide threat and if Rodion noticed it he'd do everything he could to prevent it including warning medical services without Nikto knowing.

Krueger wouldn't enable or encourage Nikto (quite the opposite really, and I like to hc that Krueger wouldn't have let Nikto go awol on his own bc. krueger feels like he has 2 be there. not to protect Nikto but yknow.). BUT. he'd handle it differently than Rodion, in the way if he understood that Nikto was beyond reasoning/something happened that would leave Nikto truly and irremediably shattered (which in this context could only be Rodion dying imo). I guess he would comfort him as much as Nikto can need comfort but otherwise... just wait, very attentively, and let Nikto take the decision himself. Krueger is loyal to the point he will respect Nikto's will basically. He would not like this though.
