superhuman

     only have been to a few of these before, kiran still felt out of his element sitting in the small classroom chairs surrounded by solid families and screaming children. he tried to pretend that it didn’t bother him that the majority of the kids had a parent sitting on either side of them, and here he was, sitting by eojin all by himself. some people gave him pitying looks, which he didn’t like, but he would never deny that it wasn’t hard being a single father. especially when he was so young and had barely had a taste of the real world. 

     so when he saw another man beside him, all alone, he held some hope that maybe he wasn’t the only one. if it weren’t for the fact that their children were both chattering away at each other, he might not have talked to him. he was curious and oh so hopeful that he wasn’t alone in his situation. “are you here alone too? or are you waiting on someone?” he asked, trying to be as polite as he could in asking it, knowing that starting off that way might not be the best way to start a conversation. kiran couldn’t help  but be curious though. “i’m sorry if that was too blunt but i just-” 

     if there was one thing that insoo really couldn’t stand, it was the cold. even just the slightest of chilly days had his bones wracking with shivers and his soul down in the dumps. the solution was always something hot to drink and sweaters the size of a blanket. somehow he had found a sweater that had him swimming in it, despite how tall he was. it must be five times the size he wore, and it pooled down to his knees and went just past his fingertips. it probably looked ridiculous on him, but he was comfortable holding the handle of his mug through the fabric of the sweater, sprawled out on the couch and enjoying staying in on the cool day. didn’t stop him from pouting at the other though and beckoning them over with his hand. “come over here and keep me warm. my lap is feeling cold,” insoo whined, trying to keep a smile off his lips to try to look more like a abandoned puppy. “why are you so far away anyways? this is blasphemy.” 

     they really should have looked at the weather. walking around outside, clouds a dark grey that was a clear indication that a storm was coming, carlyle was grateful that he had an umbrella packed in his bag for things just like this. he was already in his outfit for an interview he had later, makeup applied lightly on his face but to perfection. he wanted to spend less time getting his look done as possible so he could spend time with the other. the rain was trying to stop that. 

    and of course the other didn’t have an umbrella. shaking his head, carlyle pushed the umbrella towards the other so they could start to get under it as well. the both of them did not fit that well underneath it, the side of him getting wet and some rain starting to hit his face. “you’re lucky i like you,” he huffed, the tone teasing though. he used his hand to try to cover his face from getting wet. “why do you take up so much room? i’m going to need to get a bigger umbrella.” 

     despite the exterior of someone who liked to be alone, angel was actually a pretty clingy person. when he made acquaintances with someone he was not shy to bother them with his late night thoughts or weird hobbies. he just wanted to spend time with people, being alone usually ended up with him causing too much trouble and adding onto the number of chips in the walls there were in his room. that’s how he found himself by dohyun, a hula hoop in his hand and a shit eating grin on his face. 

     “i was at the store earlier and saw this. i realized that i’ve never learned how to hula hoop before. not sure if you have, but we’re going to learn. get a little hip exercise. just please, try not to break your hip. i know you’re like, ancient.” he pushed the ring towards the other, grinning like the chesire cat. “now let me what you can do with those hips,” he teased. 

drabble based of this memeone hundred: leaving love notes

     this was something that wasn’t uncommon for kalen. writing down his feelings was something he was taught to do in order to help him express himself. so writing down letters for his loves was something he started to do every now and again, wanting to give them something little that showed how much he cared for him. this one was left on the kitchen table right before he left to go to work. the two were taking a nap in bed, and he hoped that when they woke up that they could see the letter and smile. 

to my moon & star,      i did not really want to leave the bed from our snuggle session, but i have to go to work. i already can’t wait to come home and cuddle with you guys again. can i be in the middle tonight? pleeasssee?     anyways, i love you guys so much. i was watching you two sleep and my heart hurt just from how much i love you. there’s nothing more i could ask for in the world when i have you two. i’m going to miss you lots while i’m working and i hope you guys miss me too (but not too much, i want you guys to be happy).      i have to go now! but again, i love you two lots and lots and lots and lots. not that you guys can tell but i left a lot of kisses on this paper so maybe you can just pretend that i left you lots of kisses before i left. this is not my best letter, but there’s still all the same love!lots of love and kisses and snuggles,k

     zev was admittedly not the best at things like this. how kalen convinced him that this was a good idea was beyond him, but he really couldn’t say no to those puppy dog eyes and the little pout on his lips when he said that he would love to see him try to write a letter to them before he left. instead of writing just one for them, he decided he’d write one for the each of them and hide them somewhere they would eventually find. kalen’s was in his sketchbook, left on a page where he had drawn zev and sam. it was short and sweet, better than he expected. sam’s was left in his little basket of yarn. it read like this:

“it’s not that easy ikki.” the male returned to the other. every part of him wished it was as easy as him just believing that he could get close to someone without hurting them. if it had been that easy he’d have had more friends way earlier than he did, and he’d likely have had way more at this point. “that’s how i was raised ikki, it’s all that i have ever known ever since my powers manifested. it’s not something that’s easy to just turn off. i can’t just flip a switch and pretend that i’m not terrified to hurt someone with my abilities.” it was just hard wired into the male. though he wants to change that, it’s not that easy for him to do just that. “if any person had pointed ears they’d basically be considered an elf. and i am not that short either. but thanks for calling me short.”

       that was the thing. she did want this. the only reason why she thought it was wrong was because he was with someone else. she swore to herself that she would never ruin a relationship after the multiple times it had happen to her. all she ever wanted was to go back home and see him there. she wanted to be able to crawl into bed and tell him how shitty or amazing her day was or go on their night adventures driving or just to explore a place. but what could she do about it now ? “ i do. i know we already did it. you know how many times a guy has done this to me. i swore i would never do it and i’m ashamed. it’s not like we can just go straight back to the way we were, anyway. ”
