#the way even is so sweet to isak here really gets me #‘what would your parents say if you started dating me?’ is a question abt how out isak is (willing to be) #and isak’s answer focuses on the general 'dating a boy’ aspect #but isak’s 'what would they say about me?’ is not only abt that but also abt /isak/ #and even’s 'they’d love you’ is all abt isak #sure it implies that even doesn’t have to worry abt the boy thing with his parents that he’s maybe probably already out #but his answer basically says 'of course you’re good and likeable and of course they’d love you’ #’…. if we actually dated. if you actually wanted all of me.’ #and i wonder sometimes if a tiny part of even recognises that even if he told isak abt his bd now it might be fine #because isak is very obviously speaking from a place of hurt over one specific experience #but that glimmer of 'maybe it would be fine if i told you’ is just too small and even can’t stake everything on good faith #anyway there’s a lot in this scene/interaction (@fille-lioncelle)
