Having never lived in the most sought after areas, Britt had dealt with annoying neighbors before. Sheâd grown up living only doors away from drug dealers and rowdy kids throwing parties until the early hours of the morning, so she knew how much of a pain it could be, especially for a child. No, maybe the guy at the other side of the wall wasnât exactly throwing a party, but heâor at least his companion for the eveningâwas definitely being disruptive enough to piss Britt off. A pacifist by nature, she really wasnât one to argue; she had always been more the stand back and let everybody walk all over her, suffer in silence type, but that was before she became a parent. These days, she wasnât so much her own concern anymore, the boys were, and when the sound of what could only be described as loud moaning started to ring through the wall, Britt knew it was time to intervene⌠Especially because she was pretty sure Christian knew exactly what was going on, considering the way he continuously giggled in reaction. âYouâve got to be kidding me,â Britt murmured under her breath, pushing herself up from the couch and heading immediately for the door. Quickly, she excused herself, telling the boys sheâd be right back, before scurrying out of the apartment and to the home of the noisy neighbor. Without hesitation, Britt balled her fist and hammered loudly on the door, lips pursed and expression unamused as she waited for a response.
Noah was trying his hardest to just remember this girlâs name. Sarah? Samantha? Stevie? It was definitely something with an âS.â Not that it mattered too much. It wasnât like they were going to see each other ever again after tonight. It was just some casual fun with a complete stranger. At most, he would run into her again at the bar heâd decided to go to that night, but he wasnât willing to ever hook up with her again. That wasnât what this was. And it seemed like they were both aware of that. His ridiculous neighbor and all her complaining didnât really cross his mind. Well, until her knock at the door completely interrupted his moment with... Serena? Whatever her name was, he wasnât going to let little Miss Mom on the other side of the wall ruin his night. He knew exactly who it was. Heâd heard that same bang against his wall way too many times. âI will be right back,â he sighed out, sadly pulling himself away from his guest. He took a moment to himself, just taking in a few small breaths and attempting to make himself look a little less disheveled. He didnât bother putting a shirt on because he was convinced that their conversation would not last very long. Or at least, he wasnât going to be afraid to shut the door in her face if he needed to. He frowned as he swung open the door, plastering on an annoyed fake smile. âYes, neighbor?â He greeted with a smirk. âDid you wanna join?â
