Happy New Year! We're Aaalmost There!
This last year has been full of challenges, from bot induced madness at our manufacturing companies to books arriving to us looking like they have been through a tornado made entirely of tigers, not to mention generally life being life for our hardworking team. It’s been a roller coaster from the start but finally, our journey is nearing an end. We have been tirelessly working to get these packets of DCA filled joy out to you all as quickly as can be!
For the US and Canada backers:
To those of you who responded to our call for check-ins on backers who had not received a tracking number or their order, you've likely gotten a response informing you not to worry, and that we were doing a headcount to prep for the last wave of the year. Basically, we wanted to catch anyone that might have been overlooked in the first wave, since it was sent out without tracking.
If you have not received a tracking number or your package, you are most likely already in the last wave, and we just wanted to doublecheck that. At the moment the last wave is around 60 or so people.
So what's been the holdup? In short, those aforementioned tiger tornadoes D:
When the books were initially shipped to us, an excessive number (more than 25%!) arrived with damages. This has delayed fulfillments as we've had to get the printing company to replace the damaged books. In the meantime, we ordered an additional 50 bonus books just so that we could continue fulfillments. Those books were supposed to arrive by the 17th of December, and we would put the pedal to the metal to get as many shipped as possible, as the shipping mod was going to be out of town for the rest of the year.
On December 16th, we received an email that the shipment was delayed, and the bonus books would not be shipped until the 24th instead. That was further delayed until this first week in January.
As you can imagine, this has been supremely frustrating on our end, just as we imagine it has been for you guys. Short of staging some kind of heist to retrieve our books sooner, however, we've just had to be patient.
Regarding orders to anyone NOT in the US and Canada-- they're all shipped! You should all have your physical and digital merchandise!
If you are NOT in the US or CANADA and have not yet received a tracking email please shoot us a message with your location (country will do, so we can verify who is dispatching your order!) and your backer number/kickstarter email address and we’ll hunt down your order and give you an update.
We know a lot of folks have been asking, and yes! Once all orders are confirmed to have been shipped, we will be getting everything set up for selling off the remaining stock! If you missed out on the Kickstarter or just decided you wanted a couple extra pins, this will be your last chance to get them! We'll be releasing more information about the sales in a future update on both Tumblr and KS, so stay tuned for that!
Once again we'd like to thank everyone for their patience during this. In the end, the mod team is just a small handful of fans just like you, and that means life sometimes gets in the way. At no point have we ever forgotten our obligations to see this through, though, and we hope that you last handful of backers will finally have your rewards in hand soon.
