Heyo guys! It’s been a while since anyone’s heard from the likes of me, huh? Well, I have some news for you!

I’m currently in the process of moving this blog, I technically already have it mostly done, it’s here! Though I’m thinking of changing the url to another one I have saved. My Sonic himself has been revamped, but not drastically so. Mostly just more development and improving the way I used to write him! I hope you’ll like the new direction I’m going with him.

This is something I’ve wanted to keep a secret about Deej, but I figure it might help give some more context about him.

The reason Deej is so attached to his scarf his because his mother made it for him. He’s had it as long as he can remember, and refuses to ever get rid of it, or to even take it off most of the time. It’s the only thing he has left of her, and his family in general. He’s never told this to anyone except Tails, and maybe a certain jackal on accident.

It’s probably a lot more worn and faded than I generally depict it in my art, but he does take really good care of it, probably even better than he takes care of himself. It’s very important to him, and he would be absolutely devastated if he lost it or something happened to it. He would live, of course, but he would be very upset.

He’d been tussling with a seemingly undefeatable new mechanical beast of Eggman’s, and it was clear from how scruffy and worn he appeared the hedgehog had bitten off much more than he could chew today on his own.

However, the stubborn hedgehog wasn’t one to admit to defeat easily, or to needing someone’s help in these particular instances. He would keep going, if it would kill him.

Sonic is lucky Knuckles butted in when he did, but of course, he won’t admit that.
