What an interesting gift. Warm, no matter how much time passes. She had never had to use a weapon before, and she hoped she wouldn't have to start now.

Still, she keeps it on display in her apartment in Mauville Hills, as a reminder of the other worlds that exist.

Much like his sister, Max has never had a reason to use a weapon, and has no idea how he's supposed to properly hold the bow. His first attempt ends when his Banette cackles at him like he'd just played the funniest practical joke in the world.

He keeps it though, tucked safely under his bed at home. Perhaps it's not smart to not take it with him on his adventures, but it would also be dangerous to run around without the knowledge of how to use it, right?

It looks like the Blue Orb from a distance but on closer inspection it's actually a blue glass bottle of fresh fruit juice. It tastes of blueberry.

Why wasn't that thing on Mount - oh. Oh how strange that the juice had such a close resemblance to the Blue Orb. A sharp exhale escapes her as she approaches the bottle and lifts it into her hands, pouring some into a glass and taking a sip.

Cool and refreshing, just what she needed after a long day of training.

How long had it been since she'd seen that photo?

Much in the same way parents take photos of their children on the first day of the new school year, Caroline had taken one of May the morning she set out on her Pokemon journey.

Her 12 year old eyes are wide in excitement, hands on her hips and heavy bag on her back, the promise of fun and adventure clearly written on her face. A fiery determination, and she could still hear herself say she was going to be Hoenn's next champion.

Hah, and she had. She'd do so many things in her life that being champion sometimes didn't feel like it cracked the top ten. How funny to think that had been her only goal at the start.

"I don't know where you found this," she finally says, looking at the stranger who had given her the photo. "But thank you."

She just kinda... stares at it for a minute. She admires the amount of skill it took to carve this, and all the details are correct, to a perfect degree that has her repressing a shudder.

But she can't bear to stare at it for too long. She hates the curdling in her stomach she feels.

So, as tempting as it is to have Firelight light it on fire, she drops the wooden carving into a box marked "Donations" and makes a mental note to drop it off the next day.
