we need a neutral baseline word for pooping. like. think about sex. there are a ton of different slang words for sex that serve different situations, but the word "sex" is like the neutral, real word for it. with "pooping" however there's kind of no normal basic word for it. either you have "taking a shit" (crude) or "pooping" (juvenile) or avoidant euphemisms that are mostly just for comedic effect. i think everyone would be braver about saying they had to shit if there was a word like this. ideas are welcome
