Occult Eyes Separated
A set of templates that custom content creators can use to make supernatural eye replacements that aren't tied to a skin replacement.
These templates are new texture overlays that go over the supernatural skin overlays and are automatically applied when a Sim becomes a supernatural being.
One limitation of these overlays is that they won't be automatically applied to existing supernatural Sims. However, you can use the "Add/Remove Overlay" options in @midgethetree's Supernatural Transformer to apply them manually.
Known issues: If you have Creature Fixes, when a Sim turns into a vampire, the game won't automatically apply the vampire eye overlay. That's because Pescado replaced the method used to apply the vampire skin overlay in the Pets expansion pack with the one from Nightlife. You can fix this issue by deleting the "Vampire - Become Vampire" BHAV from your copy of creature fixes. This also applies to @midgethetree's version of Creature Fixes.
Required EPs: Pets or later.

Special thanks to @asimtypical for inspiring me to make this.
Is there a mod that stops cats and dogs from harassing caged pets, causing them to freak out?
I only found a bunch of other unrelated pet fixes while searching, but maybe I'm searching by the wrong words. Please help me out, it's driving me up a wall. I like having both small pets and regular pets on the same lot, but cats/dogs won't leave wormrats and parrots the fuck alone no matter how well trained they are. 😮💨
this is exactly why i cant play w/ small pets and regular pets on the same lot; ive had this issue for YEARS and never found a mod or fix outside of simply choosing small OR regular pets 😭
weirdly hard to believe so little players also experience this; would maybe someone at GoS wishing tree be able to create a fix for this maybe?!?! there's gotta be someone w the skillset to do this!
Try this. It prevents cats and dogs from autonomously watching caged pets.
[TS2] Improved Lot Skirt Shader (WIP)
Overview
Hi everyone! This is an experimental (WIP) mod that makes lot skirts in TS2 looking like neighborhood terrain. TSCS inspired me to create this mod; as far as you remember, TSCS has visible neighborhood decals from lot view. It is set in assembly code so that TSCS lot skirts use neighborhood techniques for mapping. Original TS2 doesn't have such functionality. LD attempted to immitate that via fake neighborhood deco but it was created for particular terrains only. So I decided to attempt editing lot skirt shader and got some results; it adds cliffs, rough and meduim stages and improves shores from lot view! Though it is not perfect as it has some misconsistency with lighting (original lot skirts also do) and doesn't repeat the neighborhood terrain mapping but I think it's more practical than neighborhood deco. Hope you like it!
Features
Adds neighborhood decals (cliffs, rough and medium terrain) to lot skirts. Decals are also visible with snow states. No blue snow fix is included. Works for every neighborhood automatically. Supports lighting mods (dusk and dawn states). Looks better with default replacements.
Installation
Put the .package file into your Downloads folder.
Compatibility
Incompatible with shader mods that modify lot skirts so rename the file adding "zzzz" prefix to make it load last to prevent conflicts if you use many shader mods. Doesn't conflict with other no blue snow mods that modify the rest shaders (roofs, lot terrain).
Known Issues
May look weird in dusk and dawn states using some lighting mods (still have no idea how to fix that). Seam between lot skirt and lot terrain (original TS2 lacks lot edge blend technique like in TSCS to make smooth transition between lot terrain and lot skirt). Lot imposter terrain paint may be invisible sometimes for unknown causes.
Terrain Types
Recently it has been discovered that it's possible to create new terrain types. My shader contains standard terrain types (temperate, desert, dirt and concrete) and uses dependence of textures on lot texture so if you add custom terrain types it's required for my shader to have added such dependencies otherwise my shader will look buggy for your custom terrain types (you are free to contact with me for more detailed information). No Smell Related Turn Ons/Offs
This mod replaces the Cologne and Stink turn ons/offs with the Rich and Poor turn ons/offs from simler90's New Turn Ons mod. It also modifies the "How Much Money Do You Have?" interaction, so that the answer depends on whether the askee has the Cologne and Stink attraction traits.
In addition, it includes a fixed and slightly edited version of simler90's wealth token code. With this version, Social Group sims will actually get the token, and the datable Slob (from Nightlife) will be considered poor.

Better Employment Turn Ons/Offs
This mod changes the conditions required for Sims to be considered Hard Workers or Unemployed. With this mod, Sims will be considered Hard Workers:
If they are at level 6 or higher of their jobs or, if they're teens, at level 3
If they're a manager at an owned business
If their job level before they retired was 6 or higher or if they were a manager at an owned business
If they have a level 6 business or higher
If they have a 3.7 GPA or higher (Young Adults only)
If their current grade is A- or higher (Teens Only)
On the other hand, Sims will be considered unemployed if they don't have a job, haven't retired, and aren't business owners, teens, or young adults.

Changelog:
02/06/2026: Added checks to make sure that only teens with part-time jobs would be considered Hard Workers at level 3.
Update (02/06/2026): Before this update, if you played with any mods that allow teens to have full-time jobs, such as @lamare-sims' Choose part-time or full-time career type mod, they would be considered Hard Workers at level 3. Now they will only be considered as such at level 6 or higher, just like adult sims.
Modular Attraction Traits
This mod separates the code responsible for giving Sims attraction traits into different resources, allowing modders to create separate replacements for each turn on/off in the game.
Known conflicts:
tunaisafish's Attraction Traits Fix: don't use it with my mod, as they're incompatible
simler90's New Turn Ons or any other turn on/off replacement mod based on it: don't use it with my mod, as they're incompatible
@simnopke's "Do You Like What You See?" Bubble Fix: this fix is included in my mod, so remove it from your Downloads folder
How to install:
Select the correct version (AL, BV or OFB) for your game setup and place the package file in your Downloads folder.
If you have TS2 Extender version 0.8.0 or up installed, place the Lua Script in your Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 Legacy/Lua folder.
(Optional) If you don't have TS2 Extender and want the turn on/off tooltips to match the replacements you have installed, place the strings package in your Downloads folder and edit it manually.
Required EPs: Nightlife or later.
Which version to install: There are three versions of this mod. The AL version is compatible with Apartment Life and the Mansions and Gardens Stuff Pack. The BV version is compatible with Bon Voyage up to, but not including, Apartment Life. Lastly, the NL version is compatible with Nightlife up to, but not including, Bon Voyage.

Sims 2 Object Limit Fix
Soooo... I didn't intend for two highly requested fixes for The Sims 2 to drop within the space of a week and a half, buuuut...
Here's where you can download an experimental patch to fix the so-called 'object limit'!
https://github.com/spockthewok/TS2ObjectLimitFix
(Ultimate Collection only at the moment, I'm afraid).
The good news is:
Both @lordcrumps and @teaaddictyt have tested it with stupidly large CC folders and report that it works.
There isn't a dissertation the length of Tolstoy's 'War and Peace' you need to read through to understand wtf is going on.
The crashing wasn't caused by some hardcoded object limit at all! (That I know of).
An explanation of the issue for programmers:
And for everyone else:
The code for the Build/Buy menu was missing basic checks to confirm that the data it was trying to do things with was actually valid. No, I'm not joking.
Basically, it appears that all of the objects you can buy in the game are stored in something you can think of as being like a big, long list, which grows in size with the more custom objects you have.
The only purpose of the code that this plugin patches is to sort the items in the list into some kind of order. This is done by assessing if the value of the previous item in the list is larger than that of the item currently being looked at, and swapping their position if this is true (also known as an insertion sort).
In short, the game wasn't asserting that the data it was about to compare for sorting was valid before accessing it, and then promptly blowing up when it tried to do so and discovered it wasn't.
I imagine that the odds of the game making an oopsie and dumping some funky data into the list increases with the number of objects it is having to process - this might be why this issue only presents itself to those using multiple GB of Build/Buy CC. It was much easier to patch the code encountering the bad data within the list than to try and hunt down the mysterious culprit putting the data in there to begin with, so this is all the information I have at the moment unfortunately.
Either way, one of the first things you're taught when learning to code is to ALWAYS check that the data you're operating on has been initialised (i.e. it holds some kind of value). I guess someone at Maxis must have skipped that lecture :D
Is the 255 objects per subcategory limit theory true?
The Downloads folder I was using for testing had ~672 objects in the Deco/Misc subcategory (Maxis objects included). With the patch, I can freely navigate throughout the entire subcategory with zero crashes, so I guess not?
What about the whole OBJD limit thing?
People have varying beliefs of what the limit on OBJDs might be, but HCDU reports my Downloads folder had an OBJD count of 20,787. Again, without the patch the game would crash when switching categories in the Build/Buy catalogue, with the patch, no crashing.
If you want to hear my opinion on whether such a limit exists, watch this video.
Do I even need this patch if I don't use much CC?
As it adds some fairly important crash-prevention checks to part of the Build/Buy menu's functionality, I'd probably recommend using it anyway, just to be safe - we all know how much this game loves to crash!
Aaaah! I'm still getting crashes with the patch!
I'm aware that a few of you CC addicts out there have Downloads folders larger than the total size of everything ever uploaded to the internet, so if you still experience crashing in Build/Buy mode with this patch, please take a look at the mod's GitHub page and send me over the information requested there. Fingers crossed that shouldn't happen, but if it does, I'll try my best to investigate :)
Anyway...
Will
(I wish I had looked at this for my dissertation, as it was literally only a day's work).
HUH???
2026, the year of Sims 2 becoming the most stable Sims entry, somehow?
This is massive for CC lovers!
Modular Attraction Traits
This mod separates the code responsible for assigning attraction traits to Sims into different resources, allowing modders to create separate replacements for each turn on/off in the game.
How to install: Select the correct version (AL, BV or OFB) for your game setup and place the package file in your Downloads folder.
Which version to install: There are three versions of this mod. The AL version is compatible with Apartment Life and the Mansions and Gardens Stuff Pack. The BV version is compatible with Bon Voyage up to, but not including, Apartment Life. Lastly, the OFB version is compatible with Open for Business up to, but not including, Bon Voyage.
Limitations: The UI strings couldn't be separated. If you want the turn on/off tooltips to match the replacements you have installed, you need to download the strings package and edit it manually. This package is completely optional though. If you don't mind it, then you don't have to download it.

Update (27/04/2026): Added checks to prevent Servos from getting random hair color attraction traits. Please re-download.
Spockthewok (aka Will Nixon) wrote a master's thesis on pink flashing, figured out the cause and potentially found the first genuine fix.
The fix itself (along with the thesis for those interested) can be found here:
A patch to fix the 'pink soup' bug in The Sims 2. Contribute to spockthewok/TS2MemCapRemover development by creating an account on GitHub.
Author of the mod discovered that memory-usage-related pink soup is a result of an intentional safety check in the game's code, rather than a mistake in calculating texture memory.
So his experimental mod for TS2 RPC launcher basically tells the game to stop freaking out and turning stuff pink when shaders' memory usage goes over certain threshold. NOTE: it may get rid of the pink, but the game will still crash if you exceed 4GB limit.
There are two mod options to choose from:
Version 1 is more radical, it completely removes the safety check. You'll (probably) find out the shader's memory limit has been exceeded when your game crashes.
Version 2 is supposed to allow some pink soup at around 3.5 GB memory usage, near the danger zone, so you have time to act - so obviously, this one sounds more sensible.
And while I remain convinced that pink soup can occur because of other shader-related issues or f*cked-up memory settings, not just this "failsafe", if your game suffers from pink soup it's definitely worth a try!
Genie Scalp Fix
In an unmodded game, the color of the Genie's scalp isn't purple like the rest of his body. That's because Maxis forgot to add the purple scalp overlay to his NPC Outfit. This mod fixes that.
How to install: Place the package file in your Downloads folder.
Known conflicts: None.
Required EPs: FreeTime.
Download
Special thanks to @c0smodrom-sims for this tutorial, which helped me understand how NPC Outfits work, and dizzy for the Age Data (AGED) notes.
MULTIPLE CREATORS ON MTS/MOD THE SIMS HAVE BEEN COMPROMISED
A few hours ago, Kuttoe sent an announcement in Sims After Dark that NateTheL0ser's MTS account was compromised with several uploads containing a new script file called "silkrose_debug" that attempts to download files from a third-party website. It was confirmed that more creators have had their accounts compromised in the second announcement.
It would be highly recommended to avoid the site completely until everything is back to normal. And if you really want to download something, do so at your own risk. Make sure to scan your PC and download ModGuard. If either of them have detected something, delete it and immediately change all of your passwords. And in a worst case scenario, wipe your OS and change your passwords from a different, uninfected device.
Decor and clothing should not have script files included!
Current list of confirmed, affected creators: PurrSimity, jellyheadDimbulb, and NateTheL0ser (has regained control of their account, however you should still be VERY cautious)
