Spring green eyes sparked with curiosity, most princesses she met couldn't relate to her at all. Maybe Ella could, Rapunzel hoped so.

"That must have been quite the climb at the end of every day." Rapunzel wasn't sure how much of a touchy subject this was for the other princess, her tower could still be touchy for her too.

While Fiyero was out grabbing his provisions, she pulled a few potatoes and onions from her makeshift larder and used her magic to start a fire so she could cook their dinner.

When Fiyero returned Elphaba's heart leaped in her chest, him being here sent a thrill through her.

Looking over what he'd brought the witch smiled.

"... Yes." The tree had been a hollow husk when she'd first stumbled across it, but with the help of the Grimmerie, she'd helped coax life back into it and helped it grow and expand to fit her needs.

It wasn't much, but it was shelter and that was enough for now.

Elphaba went to fetch a knife so she could prepare their meal.
