I’m up to 185lbs on bench for reps now so that’s cool 😎
I stalled hard at 185 for a while, then, after a few months off, I hit triceps HARD for a month, now I just hit 3 x 3 at 225 with gas in the tank. It's a great feeling! You got this!
Do you have a next goal? Mine is to get to 315 by 2024.
I’m aiming for 225 bench, 250+ Squat and 300+ Deadlift by my birthday in July. I’ve been making pretty good, consistent progress with 5x5 (3x5 for DL) since I started lifting seriously last year.
I made good gains just using a progressive overload on the big three, was at 350 squat, 405 dl, and 185 bench, also hunting for the 1000 lb club.
Recently my wife and I switched to more bodybuilding focused routine with cable machine work in addition to free weights with a 3 x 12 set. It's been working well for us.
We've been taking a lot of advice from Jeff Nipard's YouTube channel.
