Different Korean Verbs for âTo Wearâ
In Korean, the verb âto wearâ is different depending on the section of the body the item is worn on. Here are some examples:
ě ë¤: for ěˇ (clothes) such as ě¤ě¨í°, ěšë§, ëë ě¤ (sweater, skirt, dress)
ě ë¤: for things you wear on your feet such as ě ë°, ěë§ (shoes, socks)
ě°ë¤: for items you wear on your head such as 모ě, ě경 (hat, glasses)
매ë¤: for things you tie or fasten such as ě ë° ë, ëĽíě´ (shoelaces, neckties)
ëŠë¤: for items you sling over/wear on you shoulder, like ę°ë°Š, ë°°ë (bag, backpack)
ëźë¤: for things you wear on your hands or fingers, for example ë°ě§, ěĽę° (ring, gloves)
ě°¨ë¤: for items you wear around a limb, like ěęł, ë˛¨í¸ (watch, belt)
ě¤ěë§ (Slang Part 2: Internet Friends)
So youâre still texting those Korean friends and youâre comfortable now, letâs get a little bit lazy. To write as fast as possible in Korean you gotta use those consonants (except ă ), LETS GO!
ăąă - ę´ě°Ž(ę´ě°Žě) > Itâs okay ăąăˇ - 기ëŹ(기ë¤ë ¤) > Wait ăąă 㡠- ę°ě´ë > F***ing lucky / SCORE ăąăą / ăąăąă - ęł ęł /ęł ęł ěą > Go Go ă´ă´ - ë ¸ë ¸ > No no ă ăąăšă / ěźę˛ - ě´ęą°ë ě > Too true (this is real) ă ă - ě¸ě > Right / Definitely (often both a question and answer) ă ă - ěśěš´(ěśíí´) > Congratulations ăˇăˇ - ëë > Shiver ă ă - ěě > Yep yep ă ă - ë°ě´ë°ě´ > Bye bye ă ă - ëŻ¸ěš > Crazy ă 㡠- ě´ë > Where are you? ă ă - ěí > A-ha! ă - ěżë¨šě´ > Middle finger ă ă - íě´ > Hai (hi) ă 㲠- ě ęš (ě ęšë§) > Wait ăąă - ę°ěŹ (ę°ěŹíŠëë¤/ęł ë§ě) > Thanks ă ă ă ă > Ok ok! (agreeing excitedly)
Hopefully this helps with those rushed texts, or maybe now you can understand those rapid fire messages in Overwatch (thatâs my real reason.)
More to come soon!

Oh hey itâs back on my dash perfect! I was just thinking of this the other day!
OHOHOHO wow the Korean alphabet is awesome. The people who designed it were geniuses and were obviously incredibly schooled in the morphology and phonology of their language. HNNGGG

FUN FACT!
IT WASNâT JUST ANY OLD DUDE WHO DECIDED, âHEY I WANT TO CREATE A KOREAN ALPHABET.â
IT WAS KING SEJONG, WHO ORDERED HIS ROYAL SCHOLARS TO CREATE THIS ALPHABET SO READING AND WRITING COULD BE ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE, EVEN THE PEASANTS. IT WAS PURPOSELY DESIGNED TO BE EASY TO LEARN.
SO SHOUT OUT TO KING SEJONG, WHO REALIZED BEFORE MANY OTHERS THE IMPORTANCE OF UNIVERSAL LITERACY.
YOU GO KING SEJONG, FOUR FOR YOU KING SEJONG
hello, what's the difference between ꡸ëŹë, ꡸ë ě§ë§, ꡸ë°ë° and íě§ë§ and when do we use them? thanks in advance!
Theyâre all just different versions of the word but. ꡸ëŹë, is rarely used in speech. ꡸ë ě§ë§ and ꡸ë°ë° (shortened ver. is ꡟë°) are usually used before a rebuttal. So if you were to say âBut this is better.â In Korean it would be â꡸ë ě§ë§ ě ę˛ ë ě˘ěě(ě).â Or â꡸ë°ë° (ꡟë°) ě ę˛ ë ě˘ěěě.â. íě§ë§ is more commonly used in speech than ꡸ëŹë but otherwise itâs the same.
But none of the four are used that commonly but the shortened version; ęˇźë° is used more commonly and often than the other four. But ęˇźë° is usually used when you are speaking in banmal! The other four are more commonly used with honorifics! :)
Sorry for the long answer but hopefully it answered your question! :)

Hi! I just recently started learning Korean and i encountered two words for shoes: ě ë° and ëë. what are the differences and how do i use them in a sentence?
Hey! Iâve actually never seen ëë used as âshoeâ before - haha frankly Iâve never seen the word until now. Thereâs no translation for it that means âshoeâ so ě ë° is the correct term for [a pair of] shoes! Thank you for the ask :)

Some fractured fairy tale ideas...
- Cinderella went to the ball to kill the prince.
-Â âAll hail Alice, the Queen of Hearts.â
- Rapunzel is the witchâs illegitimate daughter, and she is being kept safe from a king who would have her killed on sight.
- The Little Match Girl is a now phantom luring people to their deaths.
- Little Red Riding Hood is a werewolf.
- âSo⌠Youâre the Pied Piper, eh? I thought youâd be taller.â
- Princess Snow White and the evil Snow Queen? One and the same.
- âIf you value your life, my life, the lives of everyone in this city⌠you wonât wake the sleeping princess.â
- The land of the Twelve Dancing Princesses is falling apart at the seams, and the rest of reality with it.
- A witch who made some bad decisions in her youth is forced to adopt and raise a child.
- After Jack the Giant Killer ruthlessly murdered their king and threw their world into turmoil and war, the inhabitants of the Sky Kingdom must rebuild their lives.
- âWhat⌠what is it?â âA firebird â the last of her kind.â
wait, is âI thought youâd be tallerâ implying the Pied Piper is a child, a rat, or a Jedi warrior?
I hate that bugs donât take fall damage
How I knock a spider off the ceiling and that shit hit the ground and start running
You shouldnât be treating nb people like the secret sexy 3rd gender. Nb people donât look like a mash of male and female, theyâre not sexy androgynous twinks
white skinny androgynous nb people reblogging this and saying shit like âWell this is what I look like! So I feel represented!â Are literally part of the problem. Iâm not saying that no nb people are white/skinny/andro, Iâm saying that those are the only type of nb bodies that get representedÂ
its nice, isnt it, when nonbinary people are visibly distinct from binary people? its easy, isnt it? you can remember to use âtheyâ for people who have no visible breasts or beards, right? no need to challenge the notion of male vs female if nonbinary people have their own look, isnt that right?
its time to step the fuck up and really understand that nonbinary looks like anybody. nonbinary looks like you. nonbinary looks like your family and friends and it looks like the strangers who you thoughtlessly call âheâ or âsheâ because of their appearance.
really supporting nonbinary people means understanding that theres no visual tell - you wont recognise all of us as nonbinary on sight. you have to actually LISTEN to us. you have to BELIEVE us. and it means challenging your assumptions about gender, starting with the assumption that youre an ally to trans people while youre still doing puerile shit like gendering body parts and clothes.
NONBINARY LOOKS LIKE ANYBODY. ANY BODY CAN BE NONBINARY.
