I was tagged by both @medusabluete and @mag-lore (thank you both btw) to share my art WIPs, and you know how I always need to participate in everything.
To be fair, I really needed to get tagged in something like that, because lately I've been spiraling and it has not been a great time.
This fandom is full of insanely creative people, some giving life to the strangest, most whimsical and shameless things imaginable, yet here I am in my little corner, quietly eating myself alive.
So eager to be visible yet so scared of being seen, is what I am.
But, anyways, we're here for WIPs, and we do have some, believe it or not.
Most of my strength, time and inspiration goes to the animation I'm creating for TRSB. Because of the nature of the event, I can only disclose a few vague things I've probably already mentioned somewhere on my Tumblr: it's gonna be about Silvergifting, it's an AMV on the song Sadist by Stone Sour and it's probably gonna be over 5 minutes long, because I have never learned to choose the easiest paths in life.
However, there are some smaller projects that I haven't shown here yet:
1. Fingon wearing a traditional Japanese kimono and hairstyle for a friend who teaches Japanese:)
His kimono is going to be based on this paper doll I made at con:
2) A character sheet for my boy Calion (I know I haven't returned to it in a while, but there have been some changes):
He’s Nárien’s younger brother and kind of a Fëanorian hater 😏, and his clothes are based on Georgian traditional attire a little more. A fun fact about Calion: he has a rescue stallion whom he named Tinwë (“Spark”), because he’s pitch black with a white spot on his forehead 🥹
3) Last, but not least: a myth-accurate and very slay mavka/nyavka - a creature from Ukrainian mythology. Mavkas often appear in the form of beautiful young girls who entice and lure young men into the woods, where they "tickle" them to death. According to some legends, they also have no back, their spine and other insides visible from the back. They love decorating themselves with flowers or clothing they wove from stolen flax.
