Katamari is about the desire for more, and how it makes us forget why we're living. The katamari itself represents the small parts of life in we notice them and actively take part in,like eating, catching bugs and fish and making doodles. As the katamari grows bigger,so does our desire for bigger and better things, wether it be job opportunities, seeing the world,or becoming famous. We focus intesnely on those big things that we forget about the little things that we were once content with. When we're blocked by objects bigger than the katamari, we're being pushed back because we think the world isn't ready for us, or perhaps, internally, we're not ready for the world. So we absorb more and more things to distract us from those fustrations, our perseverance turning into stubborness to let go of the material and superficial things we think make us happy,and when we finally roll up those big things,what's left? Barely anything but a few straggling little things. We become lonely at the top, realizing that focusing on a single thing made us forget everything why we're living. It's not about fufilling a single purpose or pursuing happiness by getting more of what we think we want. It's about living with things like food,festivals, the stars, greeting your family when you come home from work or school. Those moments are why we live, because it's those experiences in between the big things that make us who we are. But that's just a theory.

Pikmin is a game about the tragedy of war through the eyes of a tiny space man and his army of plant people. Tiny Space Man has was taught how to fly by Launchpad McQuack,and on his mission in space,he crashed head first onto a desolate version of Earth where everything is just bigger now thanks to us using manure from the side of a power plant.

On his forage for supplies,Tiny finds a plant thing out of the ground and plucks it,earning eternal loyalty for saving them from a fate worse than compost. That is, until Tiny leads *into* a fate worse than compost. *Pikmin death noises*

Tiny quickly learns that one pikmin isn't enough,and plucks out more pikmin to fight for him so he can collect his ship parts in peace. That means training his army to face dangers like bulborbs,wingless birds,and slime monsters! Some will live,some will die, and those deaths will make you cry. All their short lives..lost because you made the wrong decision. Will you be able to live through that and persevere,or will you submit to your end in a world you don't belong?

But in Other M, Samus being a woman came first and the suit came second,as the design there makes Samus look more like a figurine with the hourglass body shape. This kind of design usually reads as feminine,causing people to pay attention to that aspect rather than her personality shown through her actions(which makes sense,considering how radically different her personality is in Other M).The suit puts more emphasis on the sleekness, while making her read as lithe and agile, makes it look more like a polished toy than a weapon,and the slimmed down arm cannon doesn’t help it’s case.

That’s where Metroid Fusion and Dread did the sleek idea better,because rather than use it to put more emphasis on her feminity,they tell a story about vulnerability and adapting to that situation. In Fusion, the suit in that game made samus way more vulnerable to damage and the cold(just like the titular aliens),which meant she couldn’t tank hits and keep fighting like she used to. She had to be more athletic and agile than in her old suit(which keep in mind,she still was agile in her prime suits). It clings to her body tightly, resembling muscle tissue and nerves,looking close to a bodysuit while still being androgynous. This makes it look bare on the surface,as Samus has to grow and adapt to survive with her new weaknesses on the BSL.

In Dread, there’s a balance between warrior tank and being feminine by the way the suit clings to her body,accentuating her curves. With the fast paced movement of the game and smooth animations, she shows confidence through her free agile movements, as if she’s doing parkour while taking out bosses. The warrior side of her shows through the armor bits that come back,like her chest piece and shoulder pads. While she may still be healing,it proves that she’s become stronger, not wanting to feel what she went through on the BSL. She’s toughening up.

Overall,while the suits in the Prime Trilogy and 2D games show her as being a warrior first and being a woman second,Other M’s suit shows her being a woman first and a warrior second. Samus is a warrior first and foremost, and while undeniably physically attractive underneath, it does’t take away her prowess in the slightest. But by that being the main focus in Other M,it forces people to see her as only a woman instead of a warrior as well.

Profile: Samus Aran, a being of Chozo,Metroid,and Human DNA. Wielding a suit of Chozo Armor, it packs an entire arsenal of ballistic weapons and shield functions, allowing her to survive in any environment. She tends to lose these abilities via physical amnesia, and has to regain them by defeating enemies that have the same abilities she did. Samus can also find them scattered around the planets she explores via mysterious statues and modules. Some abilities have been a permanent part of her arsenal, such as the morph ball, missles, and grapple beam, but some were only temporary, like the storm missle,nova beam and

Her power suit is a part of her being, as it’s physically bonded to her body to synchronize with her vitals. It’s been radically different for each mission she took on, but the most defining feature are the shoulder pads, which are hypothesized to hold much of her suit’s shielding capabilities. Before the BSL incident, her suit was characterized by her gold Power Suit with red accents. After the BSL incident, her power suit became sleeker as a result of surgery, after being infected with the X parasites. The Metroid DNA she was injected with changed her physically, with a sleek,form-fitting blue and yellow power suit. The DNA also made her vulnerable to cold, which can be neutralized with her suit upgrades. Her new suit after ZDR is showing signs of repair, with some of the metal armor coming back alongside the muscle fibers.

Ha,just kidding! If I was anonymous I’d be green and filled with envy! Except replace the envy with kindness because Anon is a really sweet person. They help me in the bakery where I work, and we made the biggest 12 layer cake with extra red velvet frosting you’d ever see! They help me pick out themes for my parties when I have trouble thinking of one, like a mix of island adventure and space travel,right? A moon-stranded themed partya! Yes, we were actually on a dome on the moon, and Anonhelped set up the decorations and a way to get back safely to Earth! Let’s just say we had the help of a handheld portal device.
