Did not expect for my life to get flipped up side down. Roughly 2 months ago I was preparing to go on deployment, I had my mom and my two best friends from back home stay with my husband and I. While they were visiting my friend thought she was pregnant so she brought pregnancy test with her so she could determine whether it was true or not, we'll all 3 of us started making jokes saying "wouldn't it be funny Olivia, if you took the test and you were actually the one that's pregnant." We all started laughing and I said, "unfortunately that's on hold, I have to go on deployment, can't be having babies yet!" I don't know if I knew in my heart and was in denial or what, but let me tell you, it went from laughter to shock, and then to tears 0-100 real quick. In the end though I could not be happier with what's to come and the long journey my husband and I have ahead of us.

One of the most beautiful places on Earth, Lake Tahoe. When visiting you don’t have to worry about not having something to do, there’s plenty. Especially if your one for the outdoors! You can go swimming, hiking, enjoy a bike ride or a nice walk, skiing or snowboarding, spend the day at the spa and lounge around in a nice resort…The list goes on! I highly recommend that everyone puts this one their bucket list.

But the hardest thing to do in the Navy is be away from the all the people you love, whether it’s your mom, dad, husband, friends, etc. That’s why I recommend Skype, OOVOO, FaceTime, or anything video call/video chat app or website. It doesn’t matter how busy you are, as long as you have five minutes or even an hour you can also have time to have a chat!
