#Repost @mydreamforanimals ・・・ So inspired by the story I just read on @thedodo about Tamara Johnston, an Australian teacher who has dedicated her life to rescuing the street dogs of Thailand. She was working as an English teacher in Songkhla, Thailand when she saw an abandoned 4 week old puppy hanging around a roadside temple. She was alone and would likely have been hit by a car so she took her home. She started seeing starving and neglected dogs everywhere, with little or no help, except for a local government-run shelter(with little or no funding) that housed disease ridden dogs dying at a horrific rate. She started bringing more home, and finding homes for them in the US, and suppled food and vet care for the ones she couldn't take in. Six years later she has 38 foster dogs in her home, and cares for about 50 street dogs, and has started a rescue group called @thai_street_paws . "I know I can't save every single dog, but I want to help as many as I can.
