So a lot of people hate Flowery, which I can get. But personally, and this is from a MASSIVE Ralsei fan...

I love Flowery as a character.

I was unsure about him at first but he absolutely 'grew' on me. And there's many reasons why, but there's one that stands out to me.

Flowery was Ralsei's gerson. For as much as he annoyed him, he also pushed Ralsei to finally confront parts he'd bottled down or just didn't want to acknowledge.

Remember, Susie didn't like Gerson at first. And Ralsei doesn't either. But by the end of the chapters, both of them clearly mean something to Susie and Ralsei.

I personally believe Ralsei would not have changed IF NOT for Flowery.

Because despite Flowery knowing his fate, knowing the flowers couldn't stay in darkness, he gave it his all. For his siblings, for asgore, for his hopes, and for his dreams.

And after beating it, there is one thing I can't stop thinking...

Omori is the most tragically beautiful game I've ever played

It has fundamentally broke me and changed how I view video games

I have not had a game get to me at this level in so long, and yet I can't help but tear up when I think of it

I think this is best shown in Hornet's flashbacks. We see each mother figure in her life, and how important they were in some capacity.

The Pale King however gets nothing in the whole game. The most we see is the acknowledgement that she is part Wyrm. Does he need anything? Absolutely not. But I personally think it showcases their relationship well.

It works for the two characters as well.

For the Pale King, Hornet was just part of the deal for Herah to help.

For Hornet, he was never there. Most likely just a face on the many idols and few statues.

And honestly, I also think it's the most fitting for the story. The last surviving child of the Pale King had nothing to do with him.

Considering the whole of Act 3 is Hornet also not accepting the Weaver/Silk part of her [at least that's my interpretation], I think it's fitting that Hornet is not defined by her blood, but the people who helped mold her into who she is now.

I don’t see people bring it up enough. At least compared to Live and Learn and I am All of Me (which is fair they’re really good songs too)
