Do you guys wanna know somehing nuts about the AB1980 canon?
Right off the bat in the first episode, as we swooce up to Tenma’s house, it’s established that the year is 2030. I won’t go into full detail about the events of this episode, but moments after this subtitle displays, Skunk Kusai shows up at Tenma’s door.
Now, a few episodes later in The Light Ray Robot, we actually get to see his prison data card, which has his height (185cm), criminal record (125 acts), weight (127 kgs), and what is either a birthdate or first arrest date (May 14, 2007.)
There’s no way to determine how much time passed between the points of Tenma meeting Skunk, Astro’s construction period, and the time it took to get to episode 12. If it’s the case that this is his birthday, this show is trying to convince us that Skunk is at least 23 years old.
Which prompts the question of what the hell happened to Skunk. Chronic Argyria? Lord Abelt Dessler’s son? We’ll never know
