I was on holidays with my family somewhere near Berlin. One day I planned to take the train to West Berlin to see the Ku'damm, but the station counter in that small hick town was closed. If I had been a clever child, I would have just bought the ticket on the train. Instead, I returned back home. Well, that exact day they build the Berlin wall. Had I taken the train, I would have stayed right there in West Berlin, but instead I was still in East Germany. However, giving up was never my kind of thing.
