Pretty epic weekend. Celebrated Lindsey’s birthday with drinks at @tendermercydyt and dinner at @suenodyt and I can’t rave enough about those two spots. Gladly hosted an awesome neighborhood party complete with cornhole tournament, flip cup, shots of fireball and the UFC fight. Capped the weekend off with a quick trip to the Dayton air show. Happy Father’s Day. I’m very grateful to be surrounded by great examples of great fathers. It gives me an ideal to strive for. Being a father has been the most epic journey I’ve ever been on. Thank you, Aubrey & Porter, for letting me be your dad. Lindsey asked me the other day what the most memorable moment of being a father was… and without a doubt it was the moment I saw Aubrey’s sweet screaming face. Full of life, innocence, potential, hopes, dreams… it all flashed in my mind in an instant. “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles was playing in my head when I saw her, I couldn’t even get the words “it’s a girl” out of my mouth. I was wrecked. That moment is the moment I became a father, sorry Porter… the song that I heard when you were born was “Gangsta’s Paradise.” I’ve been incredibly lucky in life.
