mp-jungjin:
(…) “I..do know who you are. I’ve met maybe one or two of my cousins..most of the Egyptian demigods I’ve met have been pretty welcoming.” he explains as he hands Osiris his glass and moves to sit on the adjacent love seat by the couch. The mention of Jordan does seem to weight on him Jungjin shoulders seem to slouch a bit but he nods and thinks a bit before talking. “He was my brother..I did what I could to get to know him. Spend some time with him. I had no idea of the things he was really doing though. I- I didn’t think he would be… I wasn'nt aware of just how much of my fathers blood really ran through his veins.”
as jungjin moves around his apartment, osiris just stands in place and waits for the young man to return to him with the drinks. he’s led over to the couch then, where he gratefully takes a seat and takes the cup of iced coffee over from the demigod. sniffing it briefly in passing, he then takes a small sip to gauge its taste. it’s surprisingly good, so he turns his full attention on the boy.
the way jungjin speaks of his brother and father definitely does a lot to bring him up in osiris’ esteem, he’s not going to lie about that, and so he gives a small nod of his head to indicate he understands and agrees with the young man’s statements.
“it turns out he inherited most of his father’s hatefulness,” he agrees quite easily. “the urge to bring chaos and destruction wherever he goes.” he tilts his head lightly to the side as he remembers it’s no longer present tense for the young demigod but past tense at this point. he didn’t last long in the ultimate punishment of osiris’ afterlife, but that is definitely not something he will be telling the kid’s brother. no matter how little they were related.
“the thing is,” he says then, “we went through his apartment after the truth came out and found a journal he kept in which he described many of the things he’s done and the people he’s messed with.” he takes a moment to let this information sink in before he calmly adds: “it seems jordan has manipulated you as well, though he made mention of being unable to read your mind like he could those of others.”
Jungjin takes a long sip of his cup of coffee before he's setting it down on the coffee table. He's a little anxious to hear more about what Osiris is going to say. Especially if the topic was going to be about his brother.
The writer sits there with his hands clasped together lazily, fingers fiddling with one another. He listens to everything the god has to say hits Jungjin like a punch to the stomach. The brother he thought that he was making some progress with...used him? The more he listens the more his mind starts to race. Jungjin's eyebrows furrow but his gaze looks right back up at the god once he was done. "It's true. O-Our powers didn't work on one another. He told me he couldn't read my mind...and I couldn't command him either. Though that's the very least of my powers... I don't like using. I refrain to because I have no control over the kind of chaos I can cause.." he mutters out the truth. As much as he would like to keep it a secret it didnt seem to be a smart move to keep that from family. If Osiris even considers him as such. "I don't want to be like my father. I don't want to be like Jordan either."
