Not only is her post-WWE run in AEW/NJPW/the indies incredible, but WWE finally started treating women's wrestling seriously on the backs of Becky Lynch, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, and Mercedes Mone. Mone and Bayley were the first women to main event an NXT TakeOver, and that Iron Woman match still rules.

Sure, WWE featured Flair over Mone, but Mone is an important piece to getting Flair over. Same thing with Bianca Belair. She also made the Women's Tag Titles feel important. She supports her friends. And encourages them to walk out on crappy situations.

And, right now, no woman has the combination of talent, clout, and freedom that Mone does, and she is choosing to use that to elevate women's wrestling, showing up in indie promotions to win their titles but (importantly) lose them back to local talent, making Maya World look like a star. I don't think there has been a more emotional spot this year than World being trapped in the Statement Maker with even the announcers screaming for her to reach to ropes.
