Found this and Cyrus and Lysandre should really be on the other side, Volo too to a more ambiguous extent. (We get some clues Volo was motivated by some painful incident in his past, but they don't really elaborate on it. Masters implied someone used and disposed of him in the past, but that's as clear as they've ever been on it.)

Cyrus is heavily implied to be motivated by emotional abuse he experienced at the hands of his parents, like his own grandfather saw the toxic living situation and the effects of it on Cyrus's mental health, and regrets not stepping in and taking custody of Cyrus himself. (I feel he's also shown the highest possibility for change among the villains: getting to be an ally in Masters on a regular basis--tho he's still stubborn about it--, showing some regret with how he ended up in Ultra, and getting redeemed in two official manga.)

Lysandre's neglects the remorse for his actions he clearly feels as L when he starts regaining his memories. If he were evil, he wouldn't have cared. He's a fallen hero type of villain, he started off as a philanthropist, but took on too much for one man and fell into despair and misanthropy as a result. (And in a very fucked-up way, he's acting in what he feels is in the world's best interest, trying to prevent a scarcity crisis caused by human greed and rising populations by vastly culling the number of those consuming limited resources.)

An interesting game where you are presented with 10 artifacts from the MET. You have to place where the artifact is from and what time period it is from. Each artifact scores up to 10,000 points, and you lose points the further away your guess is and how far off in time you are. You can only play once a day.
