I bring a real 'actually people who are pregnant do deserve some special consideration because they are effectively at least temporarily disabled if not permanently after some complications' vibe to the party that a lot of people don't seem to like
I wish to add that it doesn't even have to be because of complications. You can have a totally healthy, normal pregnancy and a debilitating autoimmune disorder/disease pops up postpartum. Human bodies are weird and hormones can and will fuck you up.
At the barest minimum, pregnant women are immunocompromised during the pregnancy (the mother's immune system is suppressed to protect the baby in utero). And that alone deserves special consideration.
