Michael Jackson. Michaelâs shyness could take over if there were people around just staring at him when he was not performing, and this was a problem in a place like Disney World. I needed to change the atmosphere, so I blasted a James Brown tape and busted out my best JB dance moves. Michael joined me. I love the memory of dancing with him in the Tunnel of Light. -Lynn Goldsmith (at Mouche Gallery)

Nelson Mandela, former president of South Africa and Nobel Peace Prize winner, has died. During his long life, Mandela inspired countless individuals. Here is a collection of quotes that personify his spirit:Here is a collection of quotes that personify his spirit:
1) "Difficulties break some men but make others. No axe is sharp enough to cut the soul of a sinner who keeps on trying, one armed with the hope that he will rise even in the end."
2) "It always seems impossible until it's done."
3) "If I had my time over I would do the same again. So would any man who dares call himself a man."
4) "I like friends who have independent minds because they tend to make you see problems from all angles."
5) "Real leaders must be ready to sacrifice all for the freedom of their people."
6) "A fundamental concern for others in our individual and community lives would go a long way in making the world the better place we so passionately dreamt of."
7) "Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated to and passionate about what they do."
8) "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
9) "I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."
10) "For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others."
11) "Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies."
12) "Lead from the back â and let others believe they are in front."
13) "Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again."
14) "I hate race discrimination most intensely and in all its manifestations. I have fought it all during my life; I fight it now, and will do so until the end of my days."
15) "A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination."

"The Lost Nudes" by Lawrence Schiller
In 1960, as part of an ongoing battle to get Fox to take her more seriously, and out of jealousy over Taylorâs success, Marilyn came up with an attention-grabbing plan: a poolside shoot in which sheâd jump in the water with a bathing suit on-and come out without it. âLarry,â she said, âIf I do come out of the pool with nothing on, I want your guarantee that when your pictures appear on the covers of magazines Elizabeth Taylor is not anywhere in the same issue.â
Marilyn was making only $100,000 for what would be her last film, Somethingâs Got to Give, in 1962, while Taylor was receiving a million dollars for Cleopatra. She wanted to show Fox that she could get the same kind of coverage as the publicity bonanza generated by Taylorâs very public affair with her co-star, Richard Burton.
When Hugh Hefner agreed to pay $25,000 for a nude shot of Marilyn-the most money Playboy had ever paid for a photograph- Schiller thanked her for creating such a big payday, joking, âSee what tits ânâ ass can do?â âThatâs how I got my house and swimming pool,â Marilyn said, laughing.
âThere isnât anybody that looks like me without clothes on.â
Lawrence Schiller is a noted American Pulitzer Prize Winner, Photographer, Film Producer, Director, and Screenwriter. Schiller began his career as a photojournalist for Life, Playboy, & Paris Match, photographing some of the most iconic figures of the 1960âČs. Since then, Schillerâs photographs have been featured in Vanity Fair, Life, Look, Newsweek, Time, Paris Match, Stern, and The London Sunday Times.

ART DRIVE THRU
Just found out where the owner of Mouche Gallery is! And, boy are we jealous!Â
Influential Paris retailer Colette touches down at Art Basel Miami Beach (December 2â8, 2013) for a decidedly different art experience, in partnership with Miamiâs innovative fashion concept shop Alchemist. The colette art DRIVE-THRU at alchemist is installed in the Carpark adjacent to Alchemist on Level 5 of 1111 Lincoln Road, the celebrated concrete structure designed by architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron.
The colette x Alchemist temporary drive-thru is designed byRene Gonzalez Architect, who was honored with a National AIA Award for the interior design of Alchemist on Level 5 of the Carpark. Visitors to the installation will drive up, order from a virtual menu of specially curated items and wait for a âcarhopâ (girls on roller skates) to bring out the order. But rather than malts, burgers, and fries, shoppers will access exclusive items for the concept. Participants include some of the most compelling names in art, fashion, and culture working today. In addition, specially co-branded drive-thru items designed by Yorgo & Cowho developed all the art direction. The best way to fully understand it is to come!
Enjoy !
"Youâll be surprised â not with my terrific acting, but with the whole thing."

Grace Coddington by David Montgomery
Grace Coddington may now be best known for her role as creative director of USÂ Vogue, but back in the Sixties it was her iconic geometric hairstyle that got people talking.
"It was all about my hair - I was the Linda Evangelista of that time thanks to some great hairdressers such as Vidal Sassoon, who cut my hair," she told Sarah Mower in a conversation at Central Saint Martins in London.
"Vidal came along and liberated hair after Mary Quant liberated clothes. He cut my hair in a bowl cut and totally changed hair - everything before then was lacquered and stiff. Suddenly you could shake your head - it was a defining moment of the Sixties," she said. [Vogue UK]
