Are you ever writing a completely non good omens story and realise that they're creeping into your non GO characters? Suddenly, a character says Ngk, or smoothes down a waistcoat, or someone says :a clue" and you cannot help but hear it in Aziraphale's voice? Actually, funny story about that... I've been working (and not working) on a historical romance novel for like six years now.

Years ago, I was fleshing out my cast of secondary characters and filling in my main characters' backstories, looking around for inspiration.

My roommate happened to be watching Good Omens S2 at that time, as it had just been released. They were a long time book/S1 fan, and I had never heard of Good Omens before.

I watched some random scene with absolutely no context whatsoever (I wish I could remember which episode it was!), saw Crowley and Aziraphale interact and thought, "WOW they are such a cute couple, I kind of love them???"

And then immediately made my first impressions of them into one of my protagonist's gay dads.

Mind you, I based the characters solely on my *initial* impressions of Aziraphale and Crowley, without a full picture of who they were, so that led to my OCs ultimately becoming their own separate people. But Azicrow were the starting point for them, and that will never not be hilarious to me.

I was basically writing Ineffable Husbands: Regency-Era human AU before I even watched the damn show. 😂😂😂
