let’s be real the pressure to use AI as an adult is exactly what they said the pressure the do drugs as a teenager would be like but the people that told us that caved immediately for the AI and definitely did not just say no

it's surreal seeing people in positions of authority and "respectability" advocating for uses of AI that seem sloppy and irresponsible

like what has gotten into these people

just 20 years ago people in these positions were (rightfully) warning us about the dangers of trusting what we found on Wikipedia or a self-published blog and the importance of checking reliable sources

and now it's like...that has all gone out the window? where did these new people come from who are acting in all these maniacally sloppy ways? how did they become the way they are and how did they get put in positions of power and authority and how and why are they still respected by so many people?

i have never bought any of this stuff. i have never respected any of the people who are doing this stuff.
