Faith Is Key
Faith is the key You see, I'm one of those men who map and plan out their entire life Setting goals and objectives to be checked off at certain times An independent soul until the age of nineteen Immune to failure or inequity, well at least I thought so due to tiny success in my teens Relying on my own strengths and qualities to sprout fruits to achievements Believing that the cycle of my rewards will never tire and that its wheels riding my bike towards success was non-contingent Non-contingent, as in not subject to chance and for me parallel to bodily actions Little did I know that by being guided by the physical the increasing heights of my achievements would eventually undergo contraction An opposing reaction, to the type of elation which I had become accustomed to Yet inevitable due to the limitations I would eventually succumb to You see self sufficiency can only take you so high up life's mountain As altitude increases and oxygen depletes you begin to realise that success through self sufficiency is far from certain As you stride towards the blessed life, life's set backs leaves hope dry and you spiritually dehydrated Deflated as your futile efforts become exhausted Leading to sudden realisation, a light bulb being illuminated As the supernova of your individual insufficiency is highlighted Usually in catastrophic circumstances As your initial plans dramatically fade into a black hole putting an end to any advances You finally realise that complete acquisition of the blessed life... Can only be fulfilled through complete dependence on His eagle wings allowing you to fully take flight Nonetheless your ideal destination may not be parallel to His coordinates And sometimes the schedule of your flight may be delayed requiring patients You see life is a journey of unpredictable seasons A destructive relationship can leave your heart winter frozen But then the sudden rays of sunshine from ones love begins to thaw your burdens Then in a second unexpected career progression springs new life into rhythm Until difficulties of balancing your career with your family causes your leaves to decay leaving you weeping in the willow Face down screaming in your pillow, until He heals your sorrow And yes He will always heal your sorrow; Understand 'all things work for good for those who love Him' A Him who took on torture, humiliation and death irrespective of sin A Him who's love surpasses all so takes joy in relieving your pain A Him who conquered death, rose on the third day so radiates power to increase your gain So in all things look to, and trust in Him for guidance And let your faith be the key to unlock your blessings in abundance MoSpeaks
