some alejandro headcanons
very much a nerd. he has a particular interest in history, especially the pre-historic era. he hates how inaccurate the jurassic park movies are.
he plays several sports, but his favorites are soccer and skateboarding, though his parents don’t really approve of the latter (his dad thinks it's “unbecoming” while his mom is scared he’ll get hurt). at his high school, he was the captain of the soccer team, as well as track, tennis, and set a new record on the swim team. he was also class vice president, president model un, president of the chess club, and volunteered in his free time.
he takes pride in his appearance, though as he grew up and started to look too similar to josé, he decided to grow his hair out. his mom approved, while his dad just let it go.
he enjoys helping his mom cook. they bond over meals, and it gives him an excuse to leave the dishes for josé to wash.
wanted to cry whenever josé announced that he wasn’t moving out for college. to avoid arguments, alejandro tends to stay in his room whenever he’s home, which bothers josé.
very much a mama’s boy. unlike his dad, she’s more lenient with him, and only wants the best for alejandro. secretly, she doesn’t want another son leaving her.
he wrote a three page paper when he was seven on why he should be allowed to have a pet. after some debating (his dad was secretly very proud), they adopted a long-haired cat for him. argos the cat (named while they lived in greece) is very beloved and taken care of.
has never played a video game. when asked about this in school, alejandro always said he was too busy to play, but in reality, his dad never really let him or his brothers play video games.
he’s moved around a lot because of his dad being a diplomat, and has never really had any meaningful friends, though he tries to let it not bother him.
really does run warm. canadian winters have nothing on him (he struggles in the summer).
spends a lot of time thinking in the shower, especially after arguments with josé. he doesn’t feel guilty running the water bill up either.
