Mike and Mal dynamic? Well, its definitely complicated, to say the least. I've noticed some things (pointed out by other people and on my own), and a thing that sticks out is Mal has that moment of like:

"My head- His head- Our head?"

So it's obvious Mal thinks of at least himself, if not everyone else as an actual person, rather than Mike with his internalized ableism.

Because like, Mal hates(?) everyone, but that's not exclusive to the people in the system, he hates/is defensive/offensive towards everyone, while Mike in TDROTI hated the other alters in the system, while later gaining respect for them in TDAS.

Also, something definitely happened between them, probably when Mike/Mal were in juvie. My personal headcanon is that Mal did some sort of crime in retaliation of/to get away from the abuse.

Of course, Mal definitely did some fucked up shit in juvie, based on how Duncan said that Mal basically owned the place. Whatever happened in juvie probably forced him to get some sort of psychological evaluation, the first of many, maybe? And eventually Mike got diagnosed with DID (as well as Audhd perhaps? Either or autism or ADHD or both?)

The dynamic probably gets better after TDAS (fuck the reset button, that is not accurate to real life at all), because therapy and being forced to confront truths?
