I know I’ve been spamming a little bit today, it being the release date to Joyride 12 as well as the trade to Volume 2, but this series means a lot to me as it’s my first attempt at a creator owned, my ideas, my look. For good or bad this was me. With all the ups and downs of making your own book, compromises with publishers and creators, timing and scheduling, from working on 2 books a month to make sure I can still pay bills to staying away from reviews out of self preservation it was my life this past year. 

I want to thank Jackson and Collin for being such great friends and collaborators. Thank you Boom! studios and my editors Dafna and Cameron for giving us a platform. Thank you Irma Kniivila for your patience and amazing work on making the images come alive with your colours. Thank you Jim Campbell for your work giving life to the words. Thank you RAID studio for putting up with all my complaining, studio therapy gets me through the day and inspires me to be more. Thank you Cassi Burrell for all the understanding and dealing with me through all the late nights working. And thank you to all of you for coming along for the ride.

I have a lot of thoughts that I still that want to write but I will try to compose it with some art and insight on how everything came together, as well as some thoughts on what went right and what went wrong in the creation of each issue. (Bear with me, I’m trying to learn to write down my thoughts better and I figure this is a good little project)

This is the end of this story but there will be much more to come from myself, and the rest of of team Joyride.
